Brea rolled over moving her long blond hair out of her face to turn to turn off the ear-piercing alarm that won't stop hounding her nearly every day. She had barely slept probably 4 hours at the most, her mind is the most active at night and for the most part, it isn't for good reasons. She sat up looking around the room to make her vision more clearly.

She had sage green walls and dark wood draws and wardrobe, her room was pretty plain and had no pictures on the walls apart from the one she had on her bedside table, the one she would wake up and look at every morning wishing she could go back to that time, she picked the frame up and stared at all the people lined up hugging and smiling each other, closing her eyes wishing she could feel like she is there again being hugged by her mother and two siblings. The kids have helped her so much, even though there was a big age gap between the three whenever Brea was struggling the two kids never failed to bring her back up and enjoy the moment that she was living in. She was soon pulled from her thoughts by a light knock at her door.

"hey sweetie, I've made you a coffee I've left it on the counter, once your ready well head out okay," he says popping his head around the small gap in the door.

"oh that's you, Dad I really need that coffee, give me ten and we can go," she says making the bed that just gets ruined when she comes home anyways.

she got changed into her LAFD top and bottoms, tied her hair up into a slick back ponytail and is now sitting in front of her mirror gently applying concealer to her noticeable bags that make her look ill. She grabbed her duffle back, grabbed her coffee and headed out to the car, she was driving today she and her dad alternated how were driving and that meant a different person's music on every day.

They walked into the station smiling and laughing while making their way up the stairs where Buck was already sitting watching something on his phone, once he notices the presence of the pair it was almost as if time was in slow motion he watched as Brea walked passed him with her long blond hair swinging from side to side and how the light shone on her eyes making them look emerald green and that smile, that damn smile was contagious. He didn't understand how she could carry herself the way she does and she really admired that about her.

Hen and Chimney were the last to come in and they watched how Buck was in La la land, unable to keep his laugh in Chim started laughing to himself not loud enough to pull Buck out of his trance. As much as Hen found it amazing she couldn't stay there knowing he would be doing continuous goo goo eyes at this poor girl, she let out a big cough causing Bobby to turn around looking at her questionable and Buck's face just went bright pink as a knew Hen had seen that and he was hoping bobby didn't notice.

They had already been and a call which was just a small house fire to which no one was injured in, now they were just waiting for their next call.

"He's doing it again" Buck states

"What's he doing this time Buck breathing?" Hen chuckles out

"no Hen, he reading that book again, you must know what it's about" This caught the attention of Brea who didn't want to intervene unless necessary.

"look all I'm going to say is stay the hell away from the back," she says lowering her voice "I made that mistake after he came"

"so you're saying no one here knows what he writes in it" he looks around and sees Brea " Come on Brea you must know what he writes in it, what is it," he asks like an annoying kid

"honestly Buck it's none of your business," she says in a soft low tone "It's just something he does and he does not want people getting in that space"

"yeah well watch this," he says getting up from his chair and earning a disappointed look from Brea
