Me and Buck had just been on a date night and decided to go over to Maddie's to have a catch-up. When walking up to the secure apartment block, there was something lying on the floor. The closer we got the closer we realised it was a person with blood pooling around them. Me and Buck ran over and saw it was Chimney lying on the floor with multiple stab wounds.

"I have an adult male with multiple stab wounds to his torso. Need medical and police response." Buck said down the phone to 911 while trying to stop the bleeding

"Okay, sir, can I get your name?"

"Evan Buckley. I'm a firefighter with the 118." He took his jacket off placing it on the wound to stop the bleeding.

"Buck?" It was Josh, thank god. Now we are going to get the most help possible.

"Yeah, victim is Howard Han. He's got profuse bleeding to his abdomen. Breathing is laboured. Might have hit a lung. Come on, Chim. Hang in there."

I put my hands on top of his bloody ones maintaining the pressure."Hey let me take over"

"Buck, RA unit's two minutes out. Do you know how this happened? How long has he been down?"

"I don't know. Me and Brea came over and found him."

"Given the amount of blood, I would say minutes, not hours," I say to him knowing Chim would be dead if he had been here for hours.

"How's his pulse?" Josh asked

"Weak, but it's there," I yelled to Josh.

"Jason..." Chim whispered weakly.

"H-Hold on, he's... he's talking. Chim, it's me, it's Buck and Brea. We're here, okay?" Buck said grabbing his shoulder lightly shaking him to keep him awake.

"Jason took her..." Chim said losing consciousness by the second.

"Chimney, who is Jason?" I asked him as he's eyes began to roll into the back of his head

"Maddie..." They were his last words before he was out cold.

"Where is Maddie?" Buck had just clicked on that they hadn't seen Maddie the entire time. "Chimney, where is Maddie?"

"Chimney, come on where is Maddie?" I said calmly trying not to let this situation worse than it already is. In reality, I was shitting bricks, where was my best friend, had something happened to her, does she know something has happened.

"Wh-Where is Maddie?"

"We got it." The two paramedics said applying pressure from where my hand was

"Maddie! Maddie!" Buck yelled as we both ran into the house Both blood covered trying not to touch anything. I don't think Buck realised the door was already open when we ran in.

I followed Buck up the stairs checking the rooms to find her. "Maddie. Maddie, where are you?"

"Maddie! Maddie, are you here? Maddie!" He ran down the stairs making his way to the kitchen.

"She's, she's not here Buck She's gone." I stopped when I saw Maddie's phone on the floor.

"No."

"Buck? What is it, Buck? Did you find something?" Josh said worried for his best friend's safety.

"All of her stuff is still here."

I called Athena telling her what had happened and asked her to come down and help with the investigation. Buck was in a state for a brief moment, I tried my best to calm him down but he was so angry. We both knew he was behind this, it was Doug, Maddie's abusive Ex the papers for the divorce she filed for were just about to be handed out but he found her first. The thing is with abusive partners, they will never stop until they find you and they will make every last minute of your life a living hell like there is no escape. All of this brought back some memories, the last time I saw Jackson outside of my apartment, I thought he wouldn't bother me anymore then the photos got sent to my door at the part which Athena couldn't even trace, I felt like I was being watched everywhere I went and when I turned around sometimes he would be there and since the new year has started we have been getting knocks at our door in the middle of the night which is bound to make anyone paranoid, so I know this feeling all too well.
