"We sure did get a lot of stuff back at the mall. Lucy, can you carry all of that?" Cheyanne asked. She led the group down a crowded street as they spotted the helicopters in the distance.
"Yeah, no problem! Just gotta watch my step but that's easy." Lucy held several boxes with bags over her arms. "Did you really have to get all this stuff though?"
Cheyanne nodded while they passed through a red light. "We need more clothes if we're staying at the hero agency. Plus I want some cool materials if we're going to have hero costumes, too!"
Tex carried a couple of bags while she grinned. "Good thing I don't have to carry too much. Psy and Princess like to keep it simple, right girls?"
"I only need one or two cool outfits and I'll be set." Psy chuckled.
"And I could just make my own if I don't find something cute!" Princess skipped between them. "Do you wonder if the others finished their missions?" She held a hand to her forehead and narrowed her eyes.
Lucy leaned over from the stack of boxes. "It's hard to tell if they're there or not. I can't wait to unload all of this stuff." Her wings fluttered before she inhaled. After they reached the helicopter, she set all the boxes and bags inside. With a sigh, she wiped the sweat off her forehead and flopped down.
Tex also stepped into the helicopter and dropped the bags beside the others. "Whew, I could go for a smoke. All that walking got me worked up for one and there was no smoking in the mall." Her hat lowered while she flicked the lighter and held the flame over a cigarette. She inhaled as a smoke trail soon rose into the helicopter.
"It took you long enough, we were waiting for an hour at least." Glacier crossed her arms and stood outside where Cheyanne remained. "What took so long?"
"Huh, we were just having a little celebration. We did our job in the districts and went to a mall while we waited for your groups." Cheyanne faced her with a raised eyebrow.
Glacier scoffed and flipped her hair back. "Heroes don't celebrate until the job is done. We tracked down the crime lord but that was on our side. I hardly doubt you did anything worthwhile besides finding a few thugs."
Psy scowled in return. "We did loads more than just that. There were some dangerous people out on the streets and we made sure no one got hurt."
"Yeah, our police reports can attest to that," Princess added.
"Hey, now. Don't get into a catfight out there." Inferno waved to them. "We got the job done so there's no big deal to worry about. I call that a victory." He smiled.
Glacier shrugged before she held a finger at Cheyanne. "We might be a team but I won't act like we are. As far as I see it, you're a rival and one who doesn't deserve to be in this hero agency." Her eyes darted over to Inferno. "Let's head back. We don't have a reason to wait anymore." She along with Inferno entered their helicopter with the other heroes before it departed.
Cheyanne stormed into the helicopter with Princess and Psy. With a huff, she seated herself beside Lucy and crossed her legs. "I can't believe she said that to me. We were all out celebrating but she acts like I'm the one who was doing it. And rivals? Since when did I do anything to make her a rival?"
"Woah, what happened out there?" Tex tapped her cigarette in an ashtray. "I heard some yelling but couldn't make out who it was."
"Oh, Glacier was mad that we went to the mall and took her anger out mostly on Cheyanne." Psy placed both hands in her lap and bowed her head.
Princess nodded as she seated herself by Psy. "It was weird but at least we now know that they got the crime boss in this area. Seleph will be proud to know we did our job so well, too." She smiled at them.
