"Rise and shine, gang!" Tex stomped her boots on the floor and held a cigar to her mouth. "Today's the big day and we got the others waiting on us." She adjusted her holster and puffed a smoke ring.

Lucy groaned before she fell out of bed and exhaled. "Ugh, I wasn't expecting that as an alarm. It's already time for the first mission?" Her wings flapped open and she hopped to her feet. With a sigh, she changed clothes and stuck a toothbrush in her mouth. "Cheyanne, are you awake?"

Cheyanne giggled at her and waved at the exit. "I was the first one to be up, girl. You aren't still asleep are you?" She asked with a grin.

"Huh, I totally thought you were still in bed. It's so large and comfy..." Lucy brushed her teeth and sipped water before spitting it out. "Are Princess and Psy also ready?"

Tex shrugged and left the room. "I'm about to find out." She knocked on the door several times until it unlocked.

Princess stood at the entrance in a dress. "We're ready! I was just finding the right dress to wear today."

"And the same applies to me. I haven't worn a dress in ages so this might look too baggy for me." Psy joined her as they left their room.

Lucy and Cheyanne joined the group while they traveled down the flight of stairs. Once they reached the main lobby, they spotted Inferno, along with Glacier, and a few other heroes.

Seleph stood in the middle of a large screen as a map emerged on it. "Ah, you're awake. That means every hero and helper are accounted for then. As one of the top generals of the nation, I was tasked with giving your first set of missions." She held a disc device in her hand. "This thing is a prototype but once it's done, you'll be able to use it as a communicator. It will also alert you of an ongoing crime that was considered too risky for the average police force."

"Seems simple enough, we can worry about the fancy tech and costumes later. Just tell us what the mission is." Glacier said with her arms crossed.

"Right, I'll be sending you out to this massive city. We have gotten reports of various crimes there and it seems as if a criminal organization has rooted itself there." Seleph used her whip as a pointer to the screen. "Roylin City has a population of two million and is full of life there. This was picked as your first mission to gauge how swiftly you can handle such an area."

Inferno placed both hands behind his back and inhaled. "A big city, huh? All we gotta do is look for crime and see if it ties to that criminal organization. Guess this means we have to take them into custody and stuff?"

Seleph nodded to him and lowered the whip. "Whatever you find please report to the police along with any criminals you take in, too. Any questions?"

"Are helpers allowed to go with the heroes on this mission?" Tex asked. "Lucy and I aren't heroes but we wouldn't want to miss out on something like this."

"That's fine, just remember not to steal their spotlight!" Seleph laughed out loud. "If no one else has any questions then we can all board the helicopters for departure." She soon headed to the exit with them behind. A couple of helicopters powered on while their engines roared. Glacier and Inferno boarded the one on the left with the other heroes first.

Tex hopped into the second helicopter and held a thumb up. "This looks like one of the fancy ones. Shame we couldn't take my jet but that will be for a celebration night."

Psy soon seated herself beside Princess and Cheyanne once inside. "Well, I'm sure we'll get used to this way of travel. Not every hero can fly but at least we can all ride something that can." She chuckled.

"You're right, Psy! It gives us time to rest before the missions and if something goes wrong then we can help." Princess chimed in with a grin.

"I sure do miss having you girls around to talk with!" Cheyanne added.
