Snow drifted slowly over the mountaintops. A lone figure with a floating companion trudges through the snow, heading to the penguin kingdom. The cold did not seem to bother the figure. The two companions slowly approached the Ice Castle. The gates opened to reveal the King of the Penguins, his eyes narrowed at the approaching intruder.
"Stop! Who are you?!"
The figure pauses and removes their hood, "Hello, to you as well, Your Highness."
The King gaps at the person before him, "Princess! Forgive my rude greeting. I did not expect to see you come on short notice!"
"No need to apologize. I need your help." The Princess spoke gravely. Sensing the seriousness in her voice, the King gestures for her to enter the castle. The Princess's companion stays by her side as the King led her to the throne room, "Any help you ask, I am here to assist."
The Princess opens her cloak to reveal a box with a '?' on it, "I need you to protect my Super Star," She hands the box to him, "My Kingdom has been destroyed by Bowser. He will be searching for me and the star. Luma cannot come with me, for she too has to stay here." Lumalee floats next to the King, "Highness..."
The Princess locks eyes with the Penguin King. "Where will you go, Princess? Will you return?" The Penguin lowers the '?' box, keeping his eyes on the Princess.
"I have found a new world that connects to our own. If Bowser is stopped, I will return." She spoke, closing her cloak around her. Luma sadly looks at her friend.
"What is this world called?" Luma asked. The Princess gently rubs her friend's head and answers softly.
"Brooklyn."
The King frowns, "Br-ook-lyn? Why there?" The Princess hums, "It is the only place that I will be safe in. I had my eye on two young gentlemen there. I had foreseen these men help our world. That is when I will return."
The King nods his head, "Good luck, Princess."
The Princess drapes her hood back over her face and leaves the Castle. Luma watches her old friend disappear into the snow, "'Lina..."
