In a dark forest, Luigi pulls himself up off the ground with a groan, gets the bag of tools, and looks around, "Mario? Rosy? Where are you?" He looks at the foggy sky, not noticing a branch snagging him. He jumps in fright, then stumbles near a lava stream but catching himself, he runs across. He bumps into a tree, causing a strange swarm of bats to attack him. Luigi shrieks as the bats flew off into the sky, grabs his flashlight, and then continues walking, shivering in fear.
Moving the flashlight around, shadows danced around the trees; he hears something, then sees and gets attacked by a Dry Bones that instantly appears before him. A yelp escapes his lips, and he runs towards a tree, hits a branch, and flies back toward the Dry Bones dismantling him. Luigi looks closer at the pile of bones and chuckles, "Ha, ha! Yes! You just got a-Luigi'd!" The green-capped plumber picks up the Dry Bones skull and puts his hat back on his head. The Dry Bones' eyes lit up and screeched, causing Luigi to drop the skull.
Dry Bones gets reassembled making Luigi gasp. Looking around, the twin brother notices more Dry Bones emerging, ready to get him. The green-capped brother gasps and runs through the dead forest, trying to lose the multiplying Dry Bones. Finally, Luigi escapes into an abandoned fortress and slams the doors close. The Dry Bones pounded on the door but couldn't open it. Luigi sighs deeply, "Whew!" He straightens up and notices a painting on the floor before him, "Hm?" Stepping closer, Luigi bends down and gently brushes the dust off. In the painting was the Princess of the Stars and her companion.

The young man tilts his head in confusion. Is that...? "Rosy?" Luigi shook his head, "No, that can't be." He stands up and scratches his head.
CLANK!
Just when he thought he was safe, a group of Shy Guys and a Snifit stand in the shadows, and Luigi screams in the dark, "Ahhh!"
