Fixing The Pipe

Mario, Luigi, and Rosy finally reach the house as a truck passes, staring at it in shock. Mario whistles. Luigi stares at the towering home, "Oh wow, we have hit the big time!" Mario and Luigi do a small fist bump. "Ah ha ha!" Mario chuckles. They reach the front door, and Rosy knocks. A woman opens the door and blinks at the brothers and woman, "Ahh, the Super Mario Brothers. Please come in." She steps to the side, letting them in. Rosy, Mario, and Luigi climb upstairs with the customers.

"The drip is right upstairs at the end of the hall." The woman spoke. Her husband follows behind them, "Can you fix it?" Mario looks up at the man, "Very confident, Sir." Rosy held the toolbox in her hand, "We'll get the job done faster than you can blink."

"You'll be careful about makin' a mess?" The homeowner woman spoke, glancing between Rosy and the brothers. "Ma'am, I assure you; We don't make messes; we fix them!" Luigi laughs, then gasps. A large dog, Francis, sits in the upstairs hallway. Rosy notices a bone in his mouth, and the dog's eyes narrow at the brothers. "That's Francis." The woman gasps, "He likes you!" Francis runs forward, drops his toy bone, and licks the woman's face. Luigi walks by and steps on something.

Letting out a short gasp, Luigi lifts his foot off the broken bone. Francis stares at Luigi, then narrows his eyes. Luigi nervously chuckles and moves to the bathroom as the dog licks his owner's face with a growl. Mario chuckles and pulls Luigi into the bathroom. Rosy handed Luigi the toolbox and stood by the door, "Make it quick, boys. We want these owners happy."

Mario chuckles at the blonde woman, "We know, Rosy." They begin to examine the dripping sink; as Luigi looks at the pipe below the sink, it spits a stream of freezing water at him. Luigi gives a blank, tired stare. Mario stares at the dripping faucet and then the pipes underneath, "Wrench?" Luigi hands the wrench to Mario.

Mario uses two wrenches to tighten the pipes, stopping the leak. "Mm-hmm. And our first job complete." Mario twirls the wrench in his hands. Rosy silently gasps as Mario and Luigi do a clapping ritual, "Ay!"

As they begin to leave, they see Francis sitting in the bathroom doorway. The brothers shriek, and Rosy backs away, "Francis is here."

Francis spits the broken bone at them, enters, and kicks the door shut behind him with a growl. Luigi chuckles nervously, "Hey there, pal." They backed up against the sink. Rosy jolts as Francis bears his teeth, barking, then lunges at them and hits the sink. Francis lands under the bathroom sink, damaging it. He blindly barks at the wall. Mario falls into the shower while Francis turns toward Luigi and Rosy.

"Uh, Mario! Do something!" Luigi screams. Mario throws a shampoo bottle at Francis, who turns and bites at him. Mario dodges and backflips over Francis, "Mamma Mia!" Finally, Mario closes the shower door, trapping Francis inside. The dog growls as Mario releases a relieved sigh.

Rosy's eyes widened, "Uh, Mario?"

Luigi is pointing to the sink faucet. Mario gasps to see it's shaking. The faucet breaks and spits out water, followed by the tiles on the wall begin breaking off. The water jets out from various points that Mario and Luigi attempt to plug up. The pipes under the bathroom begin leaking as well. A stream of water spouts from one of the drains on the floor. Rosy tries to hold one tile down, but another by her right side pops up, "Augh!"

Mario quickly stomps the drain back into place. "Ah!" Mario cries out and grunts. Another stream of water spouts from a different drain. Mario stomps the second drain into place. A third drain spits water at Luigi. He stomps the third drain. Luigi grunts, "Ah!" The bathroom mirror begins to shake and pops off the wall via a stream of water behind it. Luigi catches the mirror and slowly pushes it back into place, "Yah!"

Another water stream spouts from the top of the toilet tank. Mario quickly slams the top of the tank down. The shower head starts to shake behind the three. Rosy gasps, watching as the shower head and the temperature knobs pop off and the pipes spew water all over the shower. Mario glances behind him. Francis looks down at the water filling up the shower. He shoots an evil look at Mario.

Water fills the shower, and Francis begins to float to the top. Luigi shrieks, "The hellhound is gonna escape!" His hands flew to his cap, and his eyes bulged out of his head. Mario twirls the wrench in his hand, "No, he won't!" Mario wrenches a valve connected to the toilet and flushes it, causing the flooding water to drain.

Mario releases a relieved sigh.

Luigi and Rosy stared at the shower in disbelief. Luigi glances at Mario while also keeping an eye in front of him, "Hey, uh... Mario?" Spinning quickly on his feet, Mario glances up to see that Francis has reached the top of the shower and prepares to jump.

Mario nervously grins, "Uh... Who's a good puppy?" Then, he releases a nervous laugh, "Who's a good boy?"

Francis leaps toward the three with a snarl. The brothers screamed, and Rosy jumped to the side. Once Rosy jumped, a familiar voice entered her consciousness, "Forgive me, Princess..." Rosy gasps at the same time Mario and Luigi duck as Francis sails over them and out the window. The homeowner couple sits in their living room as Mario and Luigi catch Francis outside their window with a plunger. Rosy stood up on shaky legs. Her eyes are wide in shock.

She turns her attention away to see Mario and Luigi grunting, trying to pull Francis back into the bathroom. The homeowner couple enters and gasps at the sight. Luigi attempts to put the sink back in place while Mario pulls Francis out of the toilet. Rosy weakly grins at the homeowners, "Found the problem!" Francis barks weakly. Rosy chuckles and quickly grabs the tools, "Well, folks! Have a good day!"

The brothers quickly followed out the door.
