Reyes landed in Argentina and made her way to the agreed-upon restaurant where John was waiting for her. She spotted him from across the room and couldn't believe it was really him in the flesh. She had watched him on the news, heard about his supposed death, but here he was, alive and well.

As she approached the table, John stood up to greet her, and they hugged tightly. "It's good to see you, Reyes," John said with a smile.

"It's good to see you too, John," Reyes replied, pulling away from the embrace. "I can't believe you're really here."

John chuckled. "Believe it or not, I'm alive and well."

Reyes couldn't help but stare at him, taking in every detail. She had heard about his charm, but seeing it in person was something else entirely. "So, what's the plan?" Reyes asked, taking a seat across from him.

"I'm not sure," John admitted. "Isabella is still missing, and I haven't been able to track her down."

Reyes nodded, her expression serious. "I'll do my best to help you find her. But first, let's eat. I'm starving."

John grinned. "Sounds good to me." They both ordered their food, and as they waited for their meals to arrive, they caught up on what had happened since they last saw each other.

Reyes couldn't help but be impressed by John's resilience and resourcefulness. Despite everything he had been through, he was still standing, still fighting. She knew he was a survivor, and she was glad to have him as an ally.

As they finished their meal, Reyes pulled out her phone. "I'm going to make a few calls, see if I can find any leads on Isabella's whereabouts."

John nodded, watching as Reyes dialed a number and spoke in rapid Spanish. After several calls, Reyes hung up her phone and turned to John. "I wasn't able to get any concrete information, but we'll keep looking, John. We'll find her."

John smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Reyes. I knew I could count on you."

John's hands were trembling as he held his fork, pushing the food around on his plate. He was lost in thought, and Reyes could see the worry etched deeply into his features.

"John, do you think that Isabella has been kidnapped?" Reyes asked, looking at him with concern.

"I don't know what else to think, Reyes. It's not like Isabella to just disappear like this. She would have at least sent me a message or called me," John replied, his voice shaking slightly.

Reyes reached over and placed a reassuring hand on his. "We'll find her, John. We'll do everything we can."

"I know you will, Reyes. I just can't shake this feeling that something terrible has happened. I should have gone with her to Sofia's house," John said, his voice trailing off.

"John, you can't blame yourself. We don't even know if Sofia's house is involved in this," Reyes said, trying to comfort him.

John took a deep breath and nodded. "You're right. We need to focus on finding Isabella. I don't care what it takes, I won't rest until she's back in my arms."

Reyes smiled at him. "That's the John I know. So, where do we start?"

"We start by retracing Isabella's steps. She met Sofia at her house, so that's where we'll begin," John said, determination in his voice.

Reyes nodded. "Okay, let's do this."

Reyes furrowed her brows as she tapped on her laptop. John watched her intently, as she worked to locate Sofia's house. He couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over him as he remembered the old days when they used to work together on  cases.
