We stepped outside, they were going to duel. This was normal fashion, two opponents stand thirty feet away from each other and summon their energy towards the other. Except, Emma was a green, so she easily had this battle in the bag. Ethan's friend, the owner of the house, counted them down. "Three, two, one, begin!" Emma and Ethan both sent out a beam of their energy at each other, but Emma was overpowering him. As Ethan pushed harder and harder, Emma only had to respond with medium effort, she was going to win. Then, as predicted, she struck Ethan, causing him to fall to the ground. I cheered and looked at Emma, she looked at me and smiled. My heart melted, she was such a good friend.

"Ethan." I said, standing over him. "We're done, you're so pathetic. Have a nice life." His friends picked him up and helped him into a car to be taken home. So far this is the best party ever. Emma grabbed my arm, and the electric feeling shot through my body, her hands still warm from the fight. "Wanna come with me? I bet you need a moment after all of that. She looked at me a certain way, my heartbeat got faster. "Yeah, that sounds good, thank you for that and everything." I hugged her, I felt so safe. "Hey it's nothing, don't worry about it, it's my job to keep you safe." She winked at me, I laughed nervously.

We got back inside and found an empty room to hang out in. I'm surprised that there was an empty one, but apparently after Ethan left. A lot of other people did too. "Do you want to talk about it?" Emma and I sat on the floor of what looked like the guest room. Neutral colors, and barely any decoration, but it was quiet. "I don't know what to say to be honest. It's sad but I'm not surprised that he did that. I can't say I saw it coming, but it's not a huge surprise." I say, Emma rubs my arm. "Is there anything I can do to help?" She was really close to my face.

"Actually, can I talk to you about something else?" She moves away a little, but she's still really close to me. "Yeah what's up?" I sit up straight, "how did you know you were bi when you came out? Did something change or what?" She looks at me, she looks surprised. "Well, I honestly really knew when I figured out I had a crush on one of my best friends, that happens to be a girl. Whenever I was around her I felt safe and every touch was invigorating, typical crush stuff. Why? Do you think you're questioning?" I think about what she just said, am I gay? No, I'm not, but what if I am. Emma can tell that I was confusing myself. "If you feel a certain way about someone, would you like to describe it to me and I could offer some advice. I'm an expert you know." I look at her, I can't just say 'I might have a crush on you,' she would freak out.

"There's this one girl, I'm actually really close with her. She just makes me feel like, home. If that's understandable, but she's beautiful and we get along so well. She just really knows me, and she's always there for me." Emma smiles, "do I know this girl by chance?" Her face got closer when she said that. "Yeah you do, she's really cool." My face was heating up. "Do you want to tell me who it is, or do I have to guess?" I laugh, "well, you know her. She was actually at your house earlier with us." She laughs "yeah? Is it Sophie? Her or Grace for sure." I turn bright red, "it's neither of them." Emma just stares at me. "It's me?" She started smiling really big. "It's possible, yes." I can't make eye contact with her right now, so much is happening. "Well, the girl I was talking about was you. I've had a crush on you for what seems like forever." I'm stunned. Then Emma does the unimaginable...
