Watching in secret wonder
As light catches her celestial form,
Golden as the sun unseen
In a thousand years and more.
So different he was from her,
Cloaked in this veil of shadows,
Eyes black as the moon's eclipse
In darkness' troth forevermore.
They dance in a hall of mirrors
Of lies unlit by his eternal night.
