Days turned into weeks.  The weeks quickly turned into months, and I began to settle into a routine with the pack and my brother.   For a while, I lived with him at his house, but eventually, the more integrated into the pack and became more comfortable, I chose a place of my own.

My little two bedroom cabin sat off into the woods behind the Alpha's house.  It was still weird to think of Alpha Paul as my brother.  He seemed to be trying to make up for lost time by going a little over board to ensure my happiness and protection here.

He finally allowed me to work.  At first he wasn't too keen on the idea, but I think he finally got tired of me cleaning his house all the time so he arranged for me to work in town at the Wild Wolf Cafe.

I absolutely loved my job.  Everything about it.  My favorite part was working with Kyra.  She was unlike anyone I had ever met. She was opinionated and fearless and hysterical.  We became fast friends after I started working at the cafe.  Everyone there was nice, and I enjoyed getting to know the pack members that frequently ate there.

I had even started dating someone in the last month. Bennett was one of Paul's enforcers, and although he is massive in size with an intimidating presence, underneath it all, he is very sweet.

For the first time, I am truly happy... I think.  But the lat time I thought that things went all to shit.

Joe was living her best life out here.  The cold mountain air kept her feeling extra spunky.  Here in this pack, everyone trained together, and Joe and I were growing stronger and closer.

Today was a wolf form training day, and Joe was a brilliant fighter.  We had won four out of five sparring matches.  Our loss came at the hands of Adia.  She was the largest female wolf I had ever seen and certainly the meanest.  Her wolf's name was Di.  They said it's short for Diane, but I personally think it just "die."

After training, I headed home to take a quick shower and change for work.  On my front porch was a beautiful bouquet of wild flowers sitting on the small wooden table beside the door.  I reached for the note attached, assuming they were from Bennett.

I quickly realized the handwriting was different.  The note simply read...

See you soon.

Who do we think the flowers are from?

Question of the Day:

What's your favorite thing to do during summer break?

I love going to the beach, but not in a tourist kind of way... I just like to touch the sand and stare out at the ocean! Lol 😆 ⛱️
