We left the cabin to meet Izzie.  We walked in silence.  Both of us feeling the tension and embarrassment from earlier.

I couldn't wrap my mind around why I was suddenly so hot for Jackson.  I had never had feelings of desire for another person.  Honestly I was embarrassed by how forward I was.

I finally decided to break the silence.

"Earlier,  when you were in the shower, I was washing dishes and I saw a wolf step out of the forset.  He wasn't Blue Moon Pack." I said.

"It's was probably one of the guest that arrived earlier just going for a run" he replied.

It made sense that one of the visiting wolves would be out for a run.  Although I was still intrigued by the wolf with green eyes, I let it go.

When we reached the stables Izzie was already there.   Her arms crossed across her body with a scowl on her face let us know she felt inconvenienced by the wait.

"It's about time" she hissed.

Jackson growled as his steps quickened towards her.

"Let's get one thing straight Izzie.  You've managed to strong arm your way into leaving with us, but as of this moment you are no longer in charge.  You are no longer the Alphas daughter.  We are all equals.  We work together.  No more of your bullshit.  Got it?" Jackson said with an edge if authority to his voice.

She stood there fuming, taking in his words.  After a minute she rolled her eyes and said, "Fine."

Jackson then explained the new plan.  Once the welcoming reception began he would stand up to excuse himself from the main table. At that point Izzie would call me over to bring her a drink, which I would spill on her.  She would then make a scene, which should come naturally to her, and insist that I accompany her to change since I was the reason for the inconvenience.

Izzie and I would make our way out of the pack house through the basement and meet Jackson at the cabins where he would already be waiting.

"Any questions? he asked when he was done explaining things.

I shook my head.  It seemed simple enough.  But Izzie asked, "How am I supposed to get all of my luggage to the cabins?

"Luggage?" Jackson laughed.  "Listen Princess,  you get one bag, that's it.  This isn't a vacation.  It's a dangerous escape."

Izzie rolled her eyes and walked off.

Izzie made me extremely nervous.  This was going to be difficult enough without her being extra. I turned to Jackson our eyes meeting.  A soft smile played across his face.

As if he could sense my worry he wrapped his arms around me and said, "It's going to ok, Grey.  Izzie is a pain in the ass, but she has just as much reason to want this to work as we do.  She isn't as bad as she likes people to think she is.  You just have to get to know her."

As I walked back to my room to get ready for the welcoming ceremony I wondered exactly how much Jackson knew about Izzie.  He had always made it seem like he hated her, and now he almost sounded like he was defending her.

The idea of Jackson and Izzie knowing each other on a more personal level made me feel irrate for some reason. My cheeks felt hot and my blood felt like it was whooshing through my ears.  What was wrong with me?

Was I jealous? Of course not.  Omegas don't get jealous.   We own nothing, not even feelings.

I tried to clear my mind of images of Izzie and Jackson confiding in each other as I walked up to the pack house.  This wasn't the time to start being irrational.

Is Grey jealous or just confused?
How does Jackson know Izzie so well?
