AC: I'm back with another angst Flo fic, I'm feeling this could be done in two parts, let me know what you think!

"I'll put the kettle on" Hailee spoke softly as she followed Florence into your shared home. The house was silent, cold, and lingered with your presence as Florence placed her coat over the sofa. After strict orders from the doctors, Florence was sent home to wait a call on your condition. "I... I need to call home" she looked at Hailee who gave her a soft nod, "do you want me to talk to them?" she offered. Florence wiped the tears that slowly rolled down her cheeks and shook her head kindly before walking to the bedroom closing the door behind her. She gripped her phone tightly before unlocking it to dial her mother who considers you family.

"Flossie? Baby?" her mother's voice spoke from the other end. "Honey?" she spoke when Florence struggled to answer, more tears built up in her eyes before she allowed herself to break. "Mum" she sobbed, "I need you...I need you here" she broke. "Oh, my baby, what's happened? Is everything okay?" Deb asked in a worried tone, hating the fact she couldn't be there to hold Florence in a time of need. "T-there was an accident" Florence spoke, "they s-send me home but...Y/n she's in a bad condition" she managed to explain through her sobs. Deb broke down and cried alongside her daughter, "honey, we'll get the first flight we can" she said, "please tell me you have friends to keep you company for now" she adds. "Hailee is here" Florence replied, wiping her tears.

She spent a few more moments on the phone to Deb as she calmed her and told her to go be with Hailee and that she and the family would be on the front doorstep as quickly as they could be. Hailee waited for Florence with a warm mug of tea waiting for her cold hands, her own worries getting the best of her. When Florence came back to the kitchen, she saw Hailee in tears of her own and pulled her in tightly for a hug as they both broke down and cried, praying for the only outcome that would make them feel better, an outcome where you'd be okay.

For Florence the day felt off from the moment she woke up. When you kissed her lips softly before leaving the house, she felt a need to ask you to stay home but she thought she was just being silly and told you to have a lovely day. It didn't matter what you were doing throughout the day or how busy you were, you always found the time to send Florence a text or call her at lunch even if it was just for 30 seconds. That was the second sign, you didn't call or text at lunch, so she texted you and hoped everything okay fine. The rest of the afternoon Florence felt her stomach turning as if something was wrong, she couldn't bear to eat the salad she made for lunch or fix herself a glass of water without her stomach turning against her. She called you numerus times only to get your voice mail, she left another text before she decided to drive herself down to your work. A typical office job that you oddly enjoyed, your co-workers always greet Florence with a smile whenever she'd come to drop off some lunch or meet you for lunch if that was the plan but even when she asked for you, everybody just shrugged and said you hadn't returned from lunch. Florence's worries only got more intense, that's when she called Hailee and asked if she'd heard from you, but she was just as concerned.

A few minutes before 6:30pm Florence's phone rang with an unknown number.

"Hello? Y/n?" she answered with hope, Hailee standing beside her. "Is this Mrs Pugh?" the unknown voice spoke. "It is, who is this?" Florence asked, the nurse on the other end explained the situation, Hailee caught Florence before she fell to her knees. Tears streaming like a river down her face as the nurse asked for Florence to come to the hospital.
