At the end of the day John, Felicity, and Oliver were all exhausted, but for different reasons.
From the minute Diggle walked into the door at 6:00 sharp, he could tell it was going to be a long day. And he had not been proven wrong. Though John himself was well-rested and healthy, it wasn't easy working with two others who weren't. Felicity was grumpy and tired and Oliver was grumpy and sick.
Felicity was extremely tired from lack of sleep. She had wanted to keep an eye on Oliver to make sure he was alright, so she—stupidly—decided not to take a rest. Though it pained her to admit it, Oliver had more endurance than she did, even when sick.
Oliver was just plain worn out. His eyes were sore from lack of sleep, his nose was stuffy and red from sneezing, his throat was raw and scratchy from the constant coughing, his chest ached, his muscles were sore, and almost every sound made his ears ring and head pound. Altogether, Oliver felt worse than he had in quite a while, and that was saying something. But he still was unwilling to admit it to Felicity and Diggle. He was not looking forward to tonight's mission.
"It's time to get ready," John Diggle announced, startling Felicity and Oliver. Oliver usually knew when to get ready, but didn't seem to be on top of things today.
Oliver sighed, but it quickly turned into a cough. "Okay, I'll be ready to go in fifteen minutes," he replied, grabbing his bow.
