There was a little girl looking at me. Her hair was green, like seaweed, her face was purple, making her grey lips stand out. I gripped my key and forced it to turn into my sword. I held it in front of me, the point facing her.

"What are you doing here?" I shrieked at her. She reeled back. "I am Shock." She said. What a spooktacular name! "Have you seen a woman that looks like me?" I asked.

"GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!" I heard Jack banshee yell. I jumped an ran away from Shock. "You tell that no good Oogie if he harms a hair on Sally's head he will answer to me." Jack snarled, I had never heard him so angry.

Shock jumped and went to run off. I caught her by her collar. "Not so fast. Talk." I whispered in her ear. "Where is Sally?" Jack asked her. "I don't know. Lock took her somewhere to burn." She laughed. "What!?" I held her up and shook her.

"She's still alive. He wouldn't kill her. He just tried to scare her." She managed to squeak out. "You better hope." I dropped her as Jack glowered at her. She ran off and I looked at my dad.

"We have to find her. We just have too." He said. "They could be anywhere by now!" I said, frustrated. "What's this?" He asked, walking over to the weird tracks I saw earlier. "I think those might be tire tracks, but I'm not really sure." I shrugged.

"They're going that way." Jack said, pointing forward. "This isn't my world, so I'm not sure what's going to happen." Jack admitted, his back hunching as he looked down.

I followed my father carefully, I hadn't put on makeup today, so I didn't want anyone to see me. We kept walking, we were all the way to the park now.

"S..Spark! Hey Sparky? That you?" I whipped around to see Leo. "Yeah. Hey Leo!" I smiled. My dad didn't say anything as he looked Leo up and down.

"This is my dad, Jack. Dad, this is Leo..Leon." Jack smiled at him. "Hello LeoLeon." Jack responded. "It's just Leon. Hello, Mr. Jack." Leo smiled.

"You're not frightened?" Jack asked in wonder. "Not really. You seem nice enough." He shrugged. "I am The Pumpkin King." Jack said, standing at his full height. Leo looked a little scared at that point.

"That's pretty cool." Leo shrugged, not really sure of what to do. "Have you seen a woman that looks like Spark? Or anything odd?" Jack wrung his hands.

Leo thought for a moment. "I did see a guy in a devil suit driving a weird colored van..." He trailed off. "Thank god. Where?" I asked. "Here. Let me grab my truck, I can lead you to the last place I saw it." We quickly followed him across the park and into his truck. My father sat in the front seat, I took the back.

We drove for a few minutes before Leo said, "At this light. He looked at me and I looked at him. I didn't think anything of it other than someone dressing up early for Halloween." "Which way was he heading?" I asked, leaning forward.

"I was going straight he was turning left. I don't know exactly if he made a u turn or not, but I'm going to turn left." He switched lanes and turned when the light was green.

"Look for a cemetery..." Jack said. I realized at this moment that he was sticking his head out the window because he couldn't fit in the truck!

"How did you become The Pumpkin King?" Leo asked, glancing at my dad. "All of the modeling positions were full." He joked, surprising me. This was a side of Jack I hadn't seen. Leo laughed.

"We live in another town. I was the first there and built it from the ground up." He shrugged. I had never heard the origins of Halloween Town and was fascinated.

"You built London?" He asked surprised. I had forgotten I had told him I was from London! "London?" Jack asked, glancing at me.

"I am afraid my daughter told you a story. We are from a town called Halloween Town. It is very far away from here. She was just trying to protect us." Leo, to my surprise, didn't look very surprised at all.

"Oh, okay. I see. How do you get to there? Wouldn't your mother be there already?" He asked. "We have no idea." Jack shrugged.

We stopped at the first cemetery and got out. We searched and found nothing. I felt like crying, I had found my mother to only lose her again!

I was thrown into a vision. I stood still and let it take me over.

I saw a gigantic green sack that I knew could only be Oogie. He was patting someone on the back. "Great job, Leopold. Your brought them to me and that skeleton Jack didn't even know." He laughed. The person was a gigantic green and black wolf thing.

"Spark. You must be weary of who is around you." It was Sally! "Where are you?" I asked. "I am on the way to Halloween Town." I heard her whisper.
