Spark POV

My vision faded and I was still in the graveyard. I shook it off as we still searched for my mother.

After we didn't find her, we continued to drive. "Would she already be in Halloween Town?" I asked. My dad beat the dashboard with a long armed fist. "I don't know, Spark." He admitted.

We drove further until we came along a giant cemetery with huge black gates. "This might be it." I said, Leo pulled over to the side. I hopped out and sprinted toward the cemetery.

To my shock, someone knocked me down! I looked over to see a woman looking down at me. "We had some calls in the area about people breaking into cemeteries. Would you know anything about that?" She asked.

"Umm. No." I responded, getting up off the ground. She had a thick accent from up north and a deep, growly voice, she was wearing a police uniform. She's not entirely human.....

"Oh please. You just went sprinting over there like something was chasing after you." She laughed. "Oh! Mr. Skellington, what a pleasure." She smiled at my dad. "You know each other?" I asked, surprised.

"Well you see, I may look like a..." She stopped talking and looked at Leo. Narrowing her eyes, she continued. "I may look like a cop, but I'm actually a guard." I heard something next to me and jumped, Alyson was now next to me.

"Well okay then." The woman laughed, her black, wavy hair bounced with her. "I am Ramona. But I go by Jane." She shrugged. "Have you seen my mother?" I asked quickly. "Wait, you must be Spark." She smiled. I nodded my head, glancing at my dad.

"One of my colleagues got knocked out over here. We don't know exactly what happened, but maybe it had something to do with Sally." She shrugged. "I can escort you into the In-Between, but no further than that." She said.

"In-Between?" I asked. "That is the moment before you reach the tunnel into Halloween Town." Jane explained, "It's where anyone in a more human form will go back to their original form." She butchered the last few words while glancing at Leo.

"I will lead you there." She said, sticking a finger on the lock. It opened up to reveal a keypad that lead to a traditional twist lock.

Something clicked inside and I saw a white angel statue raised off the ground. I read the bottom of the tombstone: "Here likes Jack Skelston, beloved friend and brother." I looked at my dad and he looked back at me sadly.

"I will lead you through here." She tapped on the lock that held the black gates below the statue.

We walked inside, the lights flickered on. "Wait." Leo said. "What are you scared?" Jane poked at him. "Never mind." He replied.

We kept walking. There were two stone Griffins that we came to in the concrete hallway. They seemed to watch us as we walked. Jane opened the gates and we walked through.

I could feel the magic around us, and knew I wasn't going to change. We kept walking. I turned and saw Jane was now a gigantic lion on two legs, with a long mane. (That's how it works in Halloween Town) She was snarling at something.

I turned and saw Alyson was a gargoyle, so she wasn't growling at her. I looked at Leo, he was now a giant black and green lion.

"Leo?" I asked in a small voice. "Get back!" Jane snarled at me. I stood near my dad, shaking. "Move." Jane growled, pushing Leo forward.

We walked fully into Halloween Town. "Leopold." I asked sharply. He raised his head to me and looked at me with guilt in his eyes.

"I will escort you into Halloween Town." Jane said, she had handcuffed Leo. She was almost twice as big as Leo, which was shocking.

We walked forward and I recognized the stone arch. I heard screeches behind us and ducked, the gargoyles started attacking us! I grabbed my key and turned it into a sword before jumping up and attacking them.

Alyson was lead on a chase after them. "Great." I sighed, knowing she couldn't help us now.

"Spark...I didn't want for it to end this way." Leo started. "Save it. I don't care." I snapped, walking forward. "Please listen to me." He begged. I turned back around and glanced at my dad, who was glaring at Leo.

"I was supposed to kidnap you and bring you to my father and Oogie. But..I fell in love with you." He said, bowing his head. "Oh come on. That is the most cliché thing I have ever heard." Jane complained.

"It may be cliche but it's true." He snapped back. "Who is your father?" Jack asked. "Dr. Finklestein."

"I knew he was up to no good!" I declared.
