"Somebody tell me what is going on!" I snapped. I was beginning to get tired of all the secrets. Samantha sighed and Alyson sat up straight, her wings hanging over the back of the couch. Samantha came and took my hand, leading me to the kitchen barstools.

She sat me down and I leaned against the counter with my elbow. Alyson followed us shortly after, standing across the bar from me. "It's really nothing. We just need to be more careful of who we let in the house and what is going on. I mean the demon, not Alyson, by the way." She said, shooting a glance at Alyson.

Alyson smiled and narrowed her eyes. Samantha stood up next to me and walked to my side. "I sense there is something else going on. And I want to know what." I said quietly. Why was I having odd visions? I had had dreams come true but never dreams during the daytime! I froze, I was having another vision!

I saw myself walking through a metal gate, with great pikes on the top. Everything was grey and there was a mist swirling around my ankles. I heard yelps and screams thundering around me and I felt inclined to walk forward. I began to sprint through the mist, dodging things that I was running into.

Everything was dark, and I kept hearing one voice "YOU WILL NOT STOP ME THIS TIME!" I shuddered and felt something go into my side. I doubled over and started to leak liquid from my side. I shuddered and blinked, Samantha was standing in front of me, a concerned look on her face.

"She just had a vision." Alyson said quietly. I glanced at her in surprise. How in the world did she know what it was when I had no clue!? Samantha just shook her head and sighed. "Okay. Tell me what was in your vision." Samantha said. I described what I had heard and barely seen. By the time I was done, both Samantha and Alyson looked horrified.

"I...I don't know what it means. But I don't believe it was the human world." I said slowly. There was a long silence. Samantha glanced outside. "I'm afraid it's getting dark. I need to make dinner. Alyson, would you like to stay?" Alyson nodded, without giving it another thought. "Do you need to contact your family?" "No. I live in a cave. A long way from here."

Samantha looked sad for a moment. "You're more than welcome to stay here. You can even live here if you like. How do you have a car?" Samantha shrugged. "Jack gave me some money. I decided that school and a car would be the most useful objects." I froze, she just mentioned my father's name!

"Jack?" I asked, my eyes narrowing. "Yes, my uncle. His name was Jack, but he died a while ago." She looked me straight in the eyes. She looked like she was telling the truth but I felt like she wasn't.

I got up and started to pace. "Calm down. It'll be okay. Hey, do you want to go to the Halloween party with me next weekend? You don't have to use makeup. You can just be your normal self." She smiled at me. I turned to Samantha, who looked nervous. She thought for a little while, and sat on the barstool.

"I guess. We just need to make sure that y'all are safe." I could tell by her eyes that there was something else, but by her tone, I could tell that that was the end of discussion. "Okay, sure, let's go! That would be so much fun!" I smiled. "Here, let me redo your stitches." Samantha fussed, getting up.

"It's fine." I said quietly, moving my jaw back and forth. "Well, if you do that, you'll come unstitched!" She fussed, grabbing my arm. She lead me to her bathroom in the back of the house, with Alyson hesitantly following. To the right of the door was a huge wardrobe. She opened one of the doors and grabbed something that I could not see. Samantha would never let me peer inside the wardrobe but said I could I was older. She was the only one that could unlock it. She wore a key around her neck with something that looked like a pumpkin on top.

I realized that she had pulled out a sewing needle. She smiled and sat me down on her bed with some blackish thread. She started to resew my mouth, but I realized there were little pangs that came with it. I squirmed a bit and Samantha looked at me curiously. "I can feel it. It doesn't hurt but I can feel it." Samantha dropped the needle.

"This is not good. It means he's coming." She said frantically. I froze, the thread swinging from my lips. "Who?" I asked, jumping up.

Samantha looked terrified! She began to rub her hands together nervously. She started to pace and I glanced at Alyson. Her face was grim, her wings low. "Let's.... eat. Huh, Samantha?" Alyson said slowly. I was so confused! Samantha slowly finished my stitches in silence. She left the woom without saying another word. Alyson just looked at me for a moment and I walked out of the room with her following me.

It was kind of weird. I now felt as if I had know Alyson for years, but I had only met her today! We walked back to the kitchen and threw the doorway to the little dining room. "When will Dave be home?" I asked, calling to Samantha. "Soon. He's at work." She said shortly. Alyson nodded.

She helped me set the table and we walked back to the kitchen. "Hope y'all are hungry!" Samantha said with a smile. She seemed to relax more. "Dinner will be ready in 40 minutes." Samantha informed us. Alyson shrugged and looked at me.

"Want to go explore?" I asked her, we lived in the woodland, forest as far as the eyes can see! She nodded and I lead her to the back door. She had withdrawn her wings as we stepped outside. It was starting to get dark. "You sure you don't need to tell someone that you're not going home?" I asked gently. "Nah, it's fine. I just tell everyone that I live in an apartment, no one wants to ever visit me." She shrugged.

I nodded, not really knowing what to say. We walked around the forest for a little while, finding nothing really interesting. We kept walking for a little while, it started to get dark. I was about to say that we should head back when a bush in front of us rustled. I jumped back and Alyson went in front of me.

A girl, I think her name was Morganne, fell out of the bush, one of Wess's friends. She started pointing and laughing at me. "Haha! I got you, you freak!" She started to laugh at me. I jumped, afraid that she would tell everyone. "Everyone! Come over here!" She started to shout. Before I could do anything, Alyson calmly walked over and picked the girl up by the shoulder. She looked into Morganne's eyes and made her face turn white. Morganne slumped to her feet and ran away.

I looked at Alyson, completely shocked. She just shrugged at me, "I have a bit of magic of my own." She smirked. We started walking back when I heard, "Woah! Why are you so freaked?" I smiled and we kept walking.

I smelt the amazing food as we opened the backdoor. We walked in and I started to set the table. Dave walked into the room and smiled at me. "Aww, there's our little raggydoll." He said, lovingly. That was always his nickname for me, but I never knew why.
