Shinozuka Koboshi
Shinozuka was relieved to know that his wounds have gotten much better. There were a few scratches after the grueling war, but nothing that he couldn't handle. Shinobu would simply give him some medicine and that would do it.
He remembered that he and the other two would need to thank the group of six friends later for helping them reunite with Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu, and many others that they knew. The group of friends didn't have to help, but they did anyway.
Rinna Watanabe, Seiya Takahashi, Naoki Masuda, Kiyoko Hamada, Karin Izumi, and Kazuki Muramoto. Shinozuka had smiled to himself. Those were an interesting group of friends. However, he knew that they were good people. If Naoki and Kiyoko didn't find him, who knows where he would be by now.
However, a small frown then came on his face. He knew well that he had scared Inosuke once more. He remembered that he risked his own life to protect him. Despite Kanjoro mostly taking care of Muzan, he knew that Muzan would take everyone down with him if he was going to die.
And he would protect Inosuke as best as he could. Thanks to that, Shinozuka had gotten more injuries that he had thought. He had remembered nearly passing out on Inosuke. Despite him going through worse in terms of his injuries, this was the worst of them all.
Especially when involved in a fight with the demon lord himself. He even remembered Inosuke shouting at him to wake up. If he didn't carry him to the Butterfly Mansion in time, then he would've truly been... gone. After, he was told that he needed rest for his injuries to fully heal, he understood that. However...
That meant that he couldn't see Inosuke, his father, or any of his close friends for a while. That saddened him, but if he were to walk around injured, then the others would've told him to sit back down and rest either way, When his injuries had quickly recovered after a few weeks, he remembered seeing his father's face first. He remembered his father hugging him tightly, and Shinozuka quietly crying to him, happy to see him again. White Fang was super happy to see him too.
He remembered that Taeko's siblings came over to see him too. He received lots of hugs from them afterwards. The male then quickly shook his head out of his thoughts. He needed to get back to what he needed to do at hand. What mattered was looking for Inosuke now. He needed to speak to him. He wanted to see him again.
Just now, Shinozuka had just gotten out of a room that he was in to rest earlier. He sat down at the garden outside, White Fang sitting next to him. He really didn't want to stay in the room forever anyway. Kanjoro was okay too. However, Taeko had to stay in another room for a little longer, since her injuries were the most severe. Shinozuka had worried for her, but Taeko had reassured him that she would be okay. Taeko could walk around, but she had to be in the room at times for checkups.
The male was spacing out for a few minutes when he had heard footsteps behind him, making White Fang turn around first. With happy barks, he was trying to tell Shinozuka to turn around by pointing out to him. But before he could even turn around, he felt someone back hug him. Shinozuka had immediately turned around, seeing a familiar face in front of him. He had tensed up at first, but slowly relaxed, seeing who it was. The black and blue hair that he had, and emerald, green eyes. He wasn't wearing his boar mask.
It was Inosuke. Shinozuka's face formed a frown at first. However, his eyes had softened, seeing him. The two of them stayed silent at first. However, Inosuke was the first to speak up.
"I... I thought you'd die on me again..."
Shinozuka tried to find the right words to say. He bit his lip, looking away for a moment.
"Inosuke, I-"
Inosuke had buried his face into his shoulder, his voice muffled now.
"Don't you dare do that again... you hear me? Don't you dare die on me like that again! I don't know what I would've done if I lost you again!"
Shinozuka had chuckled a little, patting Inosuke's back gently, hearing what he had said. He closed his eyes, feeling the warmth of Inosuke's hug. After a few seconds, the two of them pulled away from the hug. White Fang, who had happened watching all of this, decided to move someplace else in the garden to leave the two alone to catch up.
"I won't. It's okay... I'm here now."
Inosuke had stayed silent for a few moments, staring at Shinozuka's face for a few moments. Shinozuka had a curious expression on his face, wondering what he was going to do. A small smirk then came on Inosuke's face, as he quickly leaned in.
And the next thing Shinozuka knew, he felt a pair of lips on his own. The male freezes for a few moments. However, he had kissed back, closing his eyes slowly. His hands had moved to Inosuke's shoulders, keeping him close.
Inosuke had tilted his head, deepening the kiss, pulling the male close to him, holding the back of his neck with one of his hands. The kiss was full of love and passion, seeing how much Inosuke had missed him. Shinozuka had missed these types of kisses from Inosuke. However, he loved these types of kisses from him.
The two of them slowly pulled away a few seconds later for air. Shinozuka felt his cheeks heat up for a second. However, he ignored that to avert his eyes back to Inosuke. The two of them stared at each other for what felt like forever. Inosuke then hugged Shinozuka tightly once more, making the male hug back. Oh, Shinozuka had enjoyed his hugs.
"Don't leave me like that again... you got that?" Inosuke had muttered under his breath, but loud enough for Shinozuka to hear. Shinozuka had chuckled a little, and he nodded. He wasn't going anywhere this time. The war was finally over.
"I'm not leaving this time. I promise. I love you, Inosuke. Please don't forget that."
"I... I love you too..."
