Taeko Miyazaki

Taeko, Karin, and Kazuki had continued running for what felt like forever. They only stopped, when a single figure dropped and landed on the ground in front of them.

"Well, it's time I fought somebody. I was getting a little bored around here." Taeko had heard a calm female voice.

In front of them, was a demon female. She had raven hair with dark blue fading down. Her hair was in twin tails. She had a beautiful salmon pink kimono, and big brown eyes. She also had a purple flower crown in her hair.

She almost looked... human. But seeing the kanji in her eyes, Taeko knew well that she wasn't human.

In fact, she was Upper Moon 4.

"Upper Moon 4... be careful." Karin had whispered, making Taeko nod back in reply.

"Why do you look... so familiar?" Taeko had mumbled under her breath. The demon female had stared at Taeko, tilting her head to the side.

"Hm? What was that?" She had asked, taking a step closer to her. Taeko then slowly shook her head. "Never mind. I'm ready." She had stated in a firm tone. The demon female hummed softly, then extended a hand.

"Very well. Blood Demon Art: Poison Rose."

Suddenly, rose petals started slowly and gently falling over the trio. Taeko knew well what that was and stepped out of the way. However, Karin and Kazuki weren't so lucky. They started coughing, feeling the poison slowly getting in their systems.

"Karin! Kazuki!" Taeko had called out. But before she could do anything, she heard the female's voice in front of her. "Hm. Worrying about those two more, I see." She had stated. "I figured, Taeko. You worry about everyone, really."

Taeko clenched her fists for a few seconds. She then ran over to the two, taking out something from her pocket. It looked like two bottles of purple liquid in there. "Drink this!" She had called out. "It'll help!"

"What about you?!" Kazuki had asked, already worrying for her. "I'll be okay. I'll take care of her." Taeko had said, nodding towards him, before turning around. The bottles of liquid weren't going to heal them right away. But it was gradual. But very slow.

Why didn't she use them when she was on the brink, you may ask? Well, it was because she didn't have any poison in her system. Those bottles were specifically only used for poison.

"Now... where were we?" The female demon had asked. "Before we start, how did you... how did you know my name?" Taeko had asked. The female demon had sighed, shaking her head. She then started to speak.

"You don't realize, do you? I was once best friends with you. Well, you, me, and Haruki."That made Taeko freeze. It made so much sense. No wonder she looked so familiar. It was one of her childhood friends.

"T-Tomiko..." Taeko had muttered under her breath. The female demon didn't smile, and instead, kept a stoic look on her face. "Hello Taeko. We meet again." She said simply.

"You're... one of the Twelve Kizuki. What... do you plan to accomplish by doing that?" Taeko had asked. Tomiko had crossed her arms once more. "Simple. To find you and turn you into a demon. So, we can stick together until the end of time."

Tomiko then extended both of her hands this time, seeing purple liquid come right for Taeko. However, Taeko dodged out of the way in the nick of time. Tomiko's attacks were quick. Taeko knew that Tomiko was known for remaining calm at all times, even now.

"Sorry Tomiko, but you won't be getting me that easily. I have friends and family that I have to protect." Taeko had said in a firm tone of voice. Tomiko hummed softly once more. "You're a caring person, Taeko. I wish that I had your kind heart. But this isn't a place where we can talk. I have to do what I came here to do."

"Bring it on then."

Taeko and Tomiko had started their fight. Tomiko had thrown purple spiky vines towards Taeko and grabbed her by the foot. However, Taeko thought fast, and cut them with her sword.

"Jewel Breathing, 1st Form, Emerald Twinkle!"

Taeko jumped high into the air, then charging towards the female. Suddenly, an X was formed on Tomiko's chest. However, she didn't flinch as much. Taeko then ran up to Tomiko, then aiming the sword towards her neck. However, Tomiko spun out of the way, kicking her from behind, which sent Taeko flying a few feet away from her. Taeko grit her teeth, as she stood up. This fight had gone on Tomiko had finally spoken up.

"Why do you keep on resisting? If you choose to become a demon, you can stay with me and Haruki again. Isn't that what you want?" Tomiko had asked. Taeko stops to catch her breath, wiping the blood off her mouth. "I..." She had begun. She then slowly lowered her sword.

"I... I cherished our friendship for a long time, Tomiko, I really have. But I'm sorry. I can't go back." Taeko had said. "As much as I did, I have friends to protect."

"But I'm your friend, Taeko. Aren't I?"

"Don't you try to fool me this time, Tomiko."

Hearing that from Taeko, made Tomiko jump a little. Taeko's tone of voice was scaringly calm, despite her sensitivity, and lashing out. "I'm not falling for your tricks. You and Haruki were the ones who killed my parents. What do you have to say to that?"

"I... I didn't know..."

"You didn't know? Of course you didn't. You're a demon.." Taeko had muttered, narrowing her eyes. Tomiko had never seen Taeko calm at a time like this. She always saw her lashing out at others when upset, or in tears. "You... you changed a lot, Taeko." Tomiko had admitted at first. Taeko's back was full turned from her this time.

"I didn't change, Tomiko. I grew up."

Suddenly, Taeko aims her sword up high, then muttered something out loud.

"Jewel Breathing, 11th Form, Shattering Gem."

Suddenly, Taeko dashed past Tomiko about 5 times, before performing 4 powerful consecutive attacks on her. Tomiko stumbled back, gritting her teeth a little. Blood had started spilling from her mouth, but she wiped it. Taeko then turned around, staring at her with a deadly stare.

"You want to end this battle? Then we can end this. We were meant to fight on opposite sides anyway."

Tomiko felt herself clenching her fists, anger slowly taking over her at first. However, purple smoke started to appear around her, as her expression returned back to her stoic one.

"Fine."

Tomiko then extended her arms once more, the same purple vines then trapping Taeko's arms and legs this time. Taeko grit her teeth, as she tried to loosen herself from the vines. However, Tomiko only made it tighter.

"You say that you want this battle to end? Fine. This is how it ends. These vines will turn you into a demon."

Taeko felt her vision getting fuzzy. She continues to grit her teeth, before hearing two voices.

"Taeko!"

"Let her go, now!

"However, the poison was already getting to her.

And so, once her vision was out, so was her strength.

A clang of a sword had dropped to the ground.
