Haruka Nakano

"Haruka? May I speak to you for a moment?"

"Of course, Yuuki. What is it?"

A female walked into the room another female was standing in, and quietly closed the door. The female who walked inside wore a sea blue kimono and had chocolate brown hair tied into two long pigtails. However, she had a blue flower in her hair. The other female looked a lot like her. Except, she had a peach flower instead. She also had a peach-colored kimono instead of a sea blue one.

Both females standing in this room were twin sisters. There were slight differences in the appearances of the females. However, they were both still twins either way.

"I was wanting to check how you were holding up after that battle." The female with the blue flower, Yuuki had replied. The female with the peach flower, Haruka had hummed softly, nodding in response. It seemed like she didn't speak much about the situation.

"You do not need to worry about me, Yuuki. I am more worried for you. How are you doing?" Haruka had eventually spoken up after a few seconds of thinking of her answer. Haruka was naturally worried for her twin sister after that battle. Haruka was the older twin after all.

"I am doing okay. I'm honestly surprised to see all of that happen. The wave of demons just came out of nowhere. Why did that happen?" Yuuki had questioned. She placed a hand on her own cheek, a frown slowly coming on her face. Haruka had sighed and slowly shook her head. She didn't seem to know the answer either.

"I am just as confused as you are. I thought the Wisteria would hold them off. I know us demons hate Wisteria, but I'm just as surprised." Haruka had admitted, then slowly crossing her arms.

"Me too. Tamayo and Yushiro are treating the Demon Slayers right now. I trust Tamayo and Yushiro can help everybody out." Yuuki had stated, a small smile coming on her face. That caused Haruka to sigh quietly. Despite the two being at an age where they were now adults, Haruka could tell that her twin sister was still somewhat naive.

"You're naive, Yuuki. You know that? We can't save everyone here. Others have died on the battlefield." Haruka said, closing her eyes, shaking her head slowly.

"I know, Haruka. I'm sorry." Yuuki said with the same frown returning on her face once more. Haruka hummed softly in response. She then looked towards the window of the room, before her twin sister had spoken up once more.

"Haruka... why must you be cold to everyone else but me? I know I'm your sister, but what about everyone else?" Yuuki had asked, placing a hand on her sister's shoulder. Haruka wanted to push her away. However, she could never do that to her twin sister.

"I'm sorry, Yuuki. There's a reason for this. I just... don't want to get hurt again. It's not as simple as you think." Haruka had muttered. She opened her mouth to explain further. However, she kept her mouth shut.

"I... almost thought that you would hurt humans for your own benefit after we both turned into demons. But... I'm glad Tamayo and Yushiro came and saved us. Thanks to them... we haven't hurt any humans at all!" Yuuki had replied, a closed eyed smile on her face. Haruka chuckles a little. However, she stares at her open palms, then slowly closing them.

"But... my Blood Demon Art. It can finish off both humans and demons. Am I... still able to do this either way?" Haruka had asked out loud, then putting them down at her sides. Yuuki sighed and slowly shook her head.

"You're bringing yourself down, Haruka. How many years have we've become demons? We've been like this for so long. And so far, you never hurt any human. It's been a long time after all."

Haruka had stayed silent at that part. There was... something else on her mind. She closed her eyes, a grim expression slowly coming on her face. Yuuki was quick to notice that, and quickly spoke up.

"You're... thinking of something else, are you?" Yuuki had questioned. Knowing her twin sister, Haruka's expressions can change pretty quickly, even if it's a minimal change. Yuuki had always noticed that, growing up with her.

Both females stayed silent, not saying anything at first. Haruka bit her lip, not sure whether to say what she wanted to say now or later. But she then realized something. A wave of demons was potentially going to come through again. The first time was unexpected. But both females knew what this meant.

The wave of demons. The explosion. This had meant something was coming sooner or later. Haruka knew well that Muzan was planning something. And that he was coming closer to where they were at.

Eventually, Haruka had spoken up. However, her tone of voice was lower than her usual tone of voice. "What if... I have to face him during battle? Honestly... I'm afraid of what's going to happen." She had admitted, looking at the floor. Yuuki tilted her head to the side, confused at first to who her twin sister was talking about.

However, a second later, and Yuuki's expression changes, knowing who she was talking about. She knew well that Tamayo and Yushiro had sent them both to Muzan's hideout as spies. And she knew well that Haruka had met someone and enjoyed his company while there.

And Yuuki knew who it was.

"Cherry... I know that you loved him. I don't know if you still do, but... you have to do what you came here to do. You... can't let emotions get the best of you before potentially facing him." Yuuki had slowly said, her voice different from her usual playful but worried tone. This time, her tone was serious, kind of like her sister's.

"Easy for you to say, Yui. He truly accepts me for who I am. But knowing that we're on different sides, hurts me." Haruka had muttered out loud. Yuuki sighed and shook her head.

"I know, Haruka, I know. But we have no choice. Besides, you know what he's done. You need to put your duties over your emotions, alright?" Haruka had felt Yuuki's hands on her shoulders, and she slowly looked up at her twin sister's face. The female had sighed quietly.

"I know, Yuuki. I'll do my best to do my duty for others." Haruka had stated, making Yuuki chuckle a little. Yuuki knew that Haruka was always selfless around her, but she didn't express it around others. But she didn't know that Haruka could get so lovestruck around someone.

The door had eventually opened, and a man with teal hair walked in. Once he made took notice of the females, he then cleared his throat.

"Lady Tamayo needs your help. Both of you, get outside." It was Tamayo's assistant, Yushiro. Yuuki hummed softly, nodding. "Tell her we'll be on our way now. Haruka and I need to finish this conversation first." Yuuki had replied. Yushiro then scoffed, shaking his head.

"Are you planning to keep Lady Tamayo waiting? That's rude of you to, Yuuki. And also, Haruka, you better not be thinking about that demon now. You know what he is." Hearing that, made Haruka have a surprised expression on her face. "Hold on, how did you even know-" She had begun, before Yushiro had interrupted her.

"What do you think, Haruka? Do you think I wasn't going to hear your conversation? Lady Tamayo told me that it's impolite to eavesdrop. But you two were talking pretty loudly in there." That made Haruka facepalm.

"Now, you two get outside. Lady Tamayo needs you both out there." Yushiro said bluntly, before turning around, and walking out of the room.

Both sisters looked at each other with a serious look. However, they both nodded, and followed Yushiro out of the room as well.
