Kanjoro Hyuga
"Come on, we're almost there!"
Kanjoro, Rinna, and Seiya were getting all the way to the Demon Slayer headquarters. However, Rinna's wounds were worse than Seiya and Kanjoro had expected. So, she was a little slower than the other two.
"I'll be okay...! Both of you, go!" Kanjoro had heard Rinna's call behind him. Him and Seiya looked at each other for a second before they shook their heads. "We can't just leave you there!" Seiya had protested. Rinna had coughed once more, while covering her mouth. "I'm... I'm a lot tougher than you think, Seiya!" The female had pointed out. Suddenly, multiple voices had called out to the trio.
"Rinna! Seiya!"
Kanjoro had fully turned around, wondering who had called out to them. Up ahead, he saw a trio run over to them. However, he had a surprised look on his face, seeing another trio over to them. One of the trios he had recognized. Karin, Kazuki, and Taeko. And the other trio, one with raven hair, one with light blonde hair, and... Shinozuka?
"Hey! It's the others! Come on!" Seiya had pointed out. He then turned to Kanjoro, who immediately nodded in response. The both of them turned to Rinna before they ran over to the others. They made sure to get her over to the others before they grouped up and settled down for a moment.
"Is everyone okay?!" The blonde-haired girl had asked, before taking notice of Rinna. Her eyes widened in horror. "And Rin, what in the world happened to you?!" Rinna had coughed once more. "Twelve Kizuki... Upper Moon Six..." She had mumbled under her breath.
Kanjoro had honestly wished that he would be the take on Upper Moon Six instead. However, it seemed he had targetted Rinna more than him. But that didn't matter now. Rinna had defeated him. "I-I'll heal you! Hold still!" The blonde girl exclaimed, taking out a medical kit, checking on Rinna's wounds. Kanjoro then immediately turned to Rinna, walking over to her quickly. The raven-haired female glanced at Kanjoro before shaking her head.
"You healed me once, Kanjoro. I'll be okay... I'm much tougher than you think." She had begun, a strained smile on her face. She then frowned a little. "But for now, worry about your friend that Karin and Kazuki have there..."
Kanjoro then immediately turned his head over to the raven-haired female and the red head. He had taken notice of someone that Karin was carrying on her back. His eyes widened in horror. The torn wisteria haori, her messy brown-haired bun...
He felt his fists clenched slowly. "What happened with her?" Kanjoro had asked, but his voice had suddenly grown low. He knew Taeko always gave it her all. However, he didn't expect her to do all the fighting. "She fought Upper Moon Four... we couldn't do anything... there's some poison over her system, though not a lot... but we managed to finished her off after she had her restrained..." Karin had mumbled, looking down at the ground. Kanjoro had stayed silent for a moment. He then made eye contact with Karin once more.
"Put her down. I can heal her." He had stated simply. Karin had nodded immediately before gently placing her down. Kanjoro then stepped in front of Taeko, who was unconscious, and barely breathing. Suddenly, he extended his hands, and wisteria vines came out. They slowly wrapped around Taeko's body. Karin and Kazuki had stared at Kanjoro with a shocked expression on their face.
Gradually, Taeko's wounds had started to heal. Kanjoro's face formed a small smile, relieved that it was working. Eventually, Shinozuka and the raven-haired boy went over to check up on them. Shinozuka had frowned. "Is she...?" Shinozuka had begun. Kanjoro had quickly shook his head. "She's fine. But her wounds are going to take a while to heal." Kanjoro had pointed out.
"Shinozuka? Where's Emiko? I didn't see her with us when Kiyoko and I woke up." The raven-haired boy had pointed out. By now, Kanjoro had retracted the wisteria vines from Taeko, since he was done healing her. Hearing what the raven-haired boy had asked, he perked up. "She went with those two demon slayers earlier. Sabito and Makomo, I think." Shinozuka had replied. Kanjoro's eyes had widened in surprise. "Wait... Emiko? Miyazaki? You're saying she was with you three?" Kanjoro had asked. Shinozuka had turned to his friend, nodding quickly.
"She was. As much as we were happy to see each other, she ended up getting badly wounded." Shinozuka had pointed out, looking away for a moment. Kanjoro had narrowed his eyes. "By who?" He had asked, his low tone of voice returning. Shinozuka and the raven-haired boy shivered a little.
"Upper Moon Five."
Kanjoro couldn't believe it. Not only he could possibly lose a demon slayer that he saw as a close friend, but he could possibly lose someone he considered a sister. "We're not going to lose Taeko... we can't possibly lose her sister either..." Kanjoro had muttered under his breath. Shinozuka had placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Taeko's going to survive. She's a lot tougher than that... if she were to face Upper Moon Five now, she would've given it her all either way..." Shinozuka had stated, a small smile coming on his face. "But if she were to face Upper Moon Five either way... she would've lost it." He had mumbled. Kanjoro had a surprised expression on his face. "What do you mean?"
"Kanjoro... do you know who Upper Moon Five was...?" Kanjoro had a surprised expression on his face. "Hold on, I thought Upper Moon Five was defeated-"
"No, that was a long time ago. He was replaced."
"By whom?" Shinozuka had stayed silent for a few moments.
"You remembered how Taeko had mentioned her two childhood friends that she had?" Kanjoro's eyes had widened in horror.
"No... you faced them?"
"Well, one of them anyway. Emiko had managed to defeat him either way, although her wounds are severe."
"We also... faced one of her friends too." Kanjoro had heard Kazuki point out, making him turn to the red head. Kanjoro had clenched his fists once more. If both Upper Moons were here right now, he would've ended swinging attacks at them. But that didn't matter now. They were both defeated either way. "What's next?" Kanjoro had suddenly asked. "We have plans to get to headquarters. We'll need to tell the master what's going on." Karin had pointed out. Kazuki had nodded in agreement.
"But it'll be a long way to get there, so we'll need to protect each other." Kazuki had also stated as well. Kanjoro then quickly stood up. "Then we'll have to get there as soon as possible-" All of a sudden, an explosion was heard behind the big group. They all turned around, wondering who it came from.
"Naoki... you better not be joking around with your attacks like that." The blonde, Kiyoko had pointed out, crossing her arms. She had just finished patching up Rinna's wounds. The raven haired boy, then immediately shook her head. "It wasn't me, I swear! I didn't even draw my sword!" The raven-haired boy, Naoki had pointed out.
"He's right, it wasn't him. It was me." Kanjoro had froze, hearing the voice. That voice... sounded familiar. Within the dust and smoke caused by the impact of the explosion, he could tell who it was. A demon had appeared within the midst of the smoke and dust. The entire group froze, seeing him.
"N-No way..." Kiyoko had mumbled, shaking a little. Kanjoro's eyes turned into slits, seeing who it was. The kanji in his eyes said it all.
"Upper Moon 3..." Karin had muttered. Her and Kazuki moved over to stand in front of Taeko. "Akaza..." Kanjoro had muttered, his expression darkening.
"Well... I didn't expect you to be with such a big group, Kanjoro. But nonetheless, it's nice to see you again." The demon said with a smirk. Kanjoro then slowly stood up, drawing his sword. "Kanjoro... don't do what I think you're doing..." Seiya had muttered, but he could hear what he was saying.
"Well, since we're face to face... how about we finish this here and now?" Akaza had stated, chuckling. Kanjoro still didn't say anything at first. However, he spoke up after a few seconds.
"Bring it on then."
