"Let me teach you"

I gulped.
"Well, come in!" He repeated.
I carefully entered the room and stood by the door.

"What is your name?" He asked.

"K-Katherine." I stuttered.

He chuckled. "You obviously know my name. I felt your eyes on me while I was singing."

I forgot myself and stepped forward. "You have an amazing voice! It's as if the Elves blessed you with the gift." I said excitedly.

He slowly stepped towards me. He got closer and closer.
I realized my mistake just as he cornered me against the wall. He placed his hands on either side of my head on the wall.

"And what if the Elves had nothing to do with my voice?" He said huskily as his golden locks fell forward to mix with mine almost perfectly.

He was just..so..close. I had to say something to get away from him before I gave in.

"Then it is a marvellous talent to have." I said coyly.

He studied me closely. "I can't figure you out. You seem scared, but confident. Some say you are the King's niece. A princess. Are you?"

I grinned. "Would it make a difference if I was?"

His face fell a bit. He moved away from me and turned away. "It would, because then I couldn't ever have an interest in you."

I gasped inwardly. 'He's interested in me?' I thought.

I smiled. "I'm not a princess. I just live with the royal family. I'm just a no-one."

He whipped around, surprise evident on his cute face, not composed for the first time. "Really? I-I assumed you were. With your attire and posture and such."
I smirked. 'I've got him now. He's exposed like a book.'

"How long have you been singing, young sir?" I asked.
He blinked. "Oh, umm. Since I was a child. My parents arranged for me to have lessons at a young age. Can you sing?"

My smile dropped. "I've only ever sang by myself, so I don't know if I sing very well or not."

This time it was his turn to smirk.

"I can teach you."
