"KINGDOM OF FLIES"

"I've always found lord of the flies and it's author, william golding, ideas of humanity to be offensive. His notion that evil is inherent in all man.

Can never really sat well with me. So msuh so that I wrote an entire thesis on how much I disagree with this book. So today, i would like to share an exhibit of my thesis statement. Syahmi. Would you like to read this in front of the class? I always admire your ways of speaking in front of people."

Syahmi mengangguk dan terus bergerak ke arah puan faniza dan mengambil kertas tersebut. Dia berdeham seketika.

"Understanding William Golding the truth face of man who reveal itself when met with the aspiration, evil or rather the animalistic instinct hard wired into our brains from the time of our primal ancestors are still inherent among us till this day.

Desperation from the lack of resources back then had made human turn into their barbaric side. But human ms are now far too involved. We have soaring bodies that here to govern our destructive instincts. We're capable of achieving social contract. Promising that we will not do harm on one another around the world wall torn region are decreasing in size. And despite the multiple times experts predicted a 3rd world war is yet to arrive. I considered this is a testimone to our enjoying straightful  peace. A testimone that goodness always prevails . A testimone that inherently evil." Syahmi terus memandang puan fanizah sesudah dia membaca thesis miliknya.

"You may seat. Considered yourself have been chosen as one of the debate members syahmi." Syahmi hanya melemparkan senyuman kecil.

"I've been called a delusional optimist many times in my life. However, over the past few months I'm beginning to see the cracks in my own naivety. I'm beginning too see that despite this is what we create to achieve order we forget that we ourselves are agents of the chaos and that even are most desperate attempts for order. Will sure breed more chaos. However as mentioned earlier I still am a delusional optimist. So apart of me, the soon to be mother, i assume look to you boys everyday, hoping that you and all my naivety to be right."

Syahmi hanya menundukkan kepalanya.

"Buat bodoh je naim. Tak payah kisah."
Tiba-tiba sahaja ayam duduk di sebalah syahmi. Amirr meletakkan cawannya ke atas meja sebelum membuka mulut.

"Kau buat apa kat sini ayam? Kau tau kan meja ni meja pulau."
"Aku tak kisah. Mulai hari ni, pergi mampos." Naim terus beredar dari situ.

Syahmi meneruskan membut kerja rumah yang masih belum siap.

"Ariz mana syahmi?" Soal amirr.
"Dia jumpa kahar. Pulangkan lesen aku dengan dia dekat kahar balik."

Sebaik habis berkata begitu ariz duduk di sebelah amirr dan meletakkan pinggannya di atas meja.

"Dah bagi?" Soal syahmi tanpa menganggkat mukanya untuk memandang ariz.

"Dah." Kata ariz dengan singkat sambil menggepal penumbuk.

"Asal muka kau lebam ni?" Ariz cuba untuk menghalang amirr tapi tidak berjaya.

"Apahal muka kau ni?" Tanya syahmi pula. Dia pelik. Pagi tadi muka dia elok sahaja.

"Kahar yang buat ke? Ariz? Ariz jawablah!"
"Bukan kahar tapi Zahrin!"
"Kurang ajar." Syahmi menggetap gigi. Rasa amarah semakin membuak-buak. Elok sahaja ariz memberitahu kahar, hakeem, fahmi dan zahrin tiba di DM dengan gelak-ketawa.
