Maverick;

"How do we contact him?" Jimmy asked as I paced around the living room, "Jim, I don't thin-"

"Please, Maverick, my girlfriend is being harassed by some sick bastard, I-we need to get her back... Please.."

I let out a sigh and ran a hand through my hair, "Fine, let's go."

He stood up and Jackson looked at us, "Where you going?"

"Home base, stay here, keep them safe." I told him, he nodded and secured the gun in his pocket. I turned to face Jimmy and saw him talking to his sisters.

You need to bring him home safe to them, Maverick. You need to.

"Jacks, call your dad for me and tell him to meet us at HQ."

He gave me a firm nod before pulling his phone out and walking out to the hallway.

"Jimmy, let's go." I told him, he nodded and walked after me. "Make sure your phone is by you... Just in case he calls again."

As we walked out the front door, I made sure that I checked our perimeter before bringing him to the car.

"Where to?" Quince asked as I opened the back door for Jimmy, he slid in and I closed it before running to the passenger's.

"Headquarters." I told him as I pulled my gun out and placed it on the dashboard.

I hope I'm doing the right thing.

Chris;

I stood outside the double swing doors, waiting for at least someone to walk out, telling me that my son is okay.

I paced for a few more minutes before finally taking a seat, this is all your fault, Chris, you shouldn't have pulled them in this.

Your daughter is in the hands of some sick killer while your son is on the verge of death! You selfish asshole, Chris!

No father in the right mind would put their kids in danger!

The sound of the doors swing open brought me out of my own little painful world. I looked up and saw Doctor Brenner walking up to me.

I looked at him, hoping for some good news, but the look on his face answers it for me.

"H-how is he?" I asked, my voice sounding so brittle and small. He gives me a sad look and lets out a sigh. "He's in a coma right now."

I nodded, letting out a small sigh of relief, "Thank God."

He shook his head and let out a shaky breath, "His body is shutting down, Chris."

I stared at him, not knowing what to say.

"He got hit in the liver really bad and we're doing all we can to stop the bleeding... We're doing all our bes-"

I couldn't take it anymore, I turned around and walked down the hall, ignoring everything around me.

I don't want to lose him.

I walked down the hall and into the elevator and went downstairs. I made my way outside and walked up to my car.

Once I got in, I sat there, staring blankly at the wheel as faint sounds of thunder rumbled outside.

I opened the glove compartment and pulled a picture out, it was the four of us during our trip to Europe a few years ago. We looked so happy. Then there was one of the five us, one with The three of them still so small, we we're complete and beyond happy.
