Sarah;

I looked back at him one more time,

He was sprawled on the bed, sleeping peacefully. I chuckled quietly as I saw his hair sticking in different directions. I walked out the room, closing the door behind me and making my way downstairs for my morning jog.

-
I ran down the lonely streets, listening to my music while I had an inner monologue with myself.

He's too good for you, Sarah. You are a nobody, he's the the host of the Tonight Show. Two completely different lives.

He makes people laugh, you, you're a monster. A monster with so many demons hiding inside.

Leave him.

I shook my head and stopped. I closed my eyes and listened to my heart beating.

"I've made my choice and Im sticking to it." I told myself before plugging my earphones in and running back.

Jimmy;
I sat up in bed and glanced at the empty space beside me. Where is she?

I glanced at the watch on the nightstand, 7:30am. I rubbed my face before getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom to refreshen up.

I walked down the stairs to see Maverick.

"Morning," he smiled as he looked up at me. I returned the smile and walked to the fridge, "Mornin'." I reached for a bottle of water and drank from it down before looking around, "Where's Sarah?"

He pointed to the door, "Outside." He answered. I nodded and patted his back, "Thanks, pal"

I slid the door open and stepped out, the morning breeze instantly enveloping me. I looked around the vast yard and saw her seated in the middle, staring at the trees as it swayed with the wind. I slowly walked up to her but she caught me off guard.

"Don't you love the sound of the wind and trees?" She asked without breaking her gaze. I nodded and seated beside her, "They do sound amazing."

She nodded and looked over at me, I flashed her a smile and handed her my water.

"I know you went out for a jog."

She chuckled and slowly got it from me, "Thank you." I watched her as she chugged it down.

"Sorry, I'll get you a new one." She said as she was about to stand up but I stopped her, "No. Its okay." She looked at me, "You sure?" I nodded.

She sat back down and went back to 'tree gazing'.

"Im sorry." She stated.

"For what?"

"Last night." She answered shyly. I shook my head, "Its not something you should be sorry about, I told you, you need me, you just call me."

She gave me a side glance and smiled, "Thank you." She bent down to place a kiss on my cheek,

"Have you seen-" I was cut off by her lips. The two of us we're surprised and she instantly pulled away, "Im sorry, I was going to kiss your cheek and I thought you knew- Im sorry I ju-" She rambled and I laughed before placing my lips on hers.

"Don't worry, I kinda like it." I said with a wink, she chuckled and gave me a soft push, "Whatever."

"I love that we get to that without thinking about who'd see us." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck, she chuckled, "Me too."

"What's funny, huh? Im tryna be sentimental here and all you give me is a chuckle?" I asked her, giving her a fake stern voice which made her laugh more.
