Sarah:
"Go ahead, punk. Make my day." I told Maverick through my phone as I made my way back to the bathroom to freshen up. Yep, no jogging for me today cause its Lazy day.
"None yet. Trevor is still working on the case files and the evidence. I'll update you when we find something..."
"Okay."
"How are you feeling?" he asked.
" I kind of got over it..." I said as I stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom. "
"That's good. Sar, he never deserved you. He's a stupid son of a bitch. He'll regret that, Im telling you. And I'm also telling you this, NEVER. never ever get back with him ever again."
"I wont." I replied.
"You should get a good guy... someone like Jimmy." He said, I could tell he was smirking.
"Again, Maverick. He's cute, he's adorable, he's funny, he's kind and he's personality is amazing but I don't think so. Its unprofessional and wrong." I sighed as I sat on the toilet.
"So are you trying to say that when you're not with him professionally, you'd go for him?"
"Why not? Jimmy is a great guy. But to be honest, I don't think I wanna be in a relationship for awhile." I told him.
'Oh, okay. I'm telling you, you and Jimmy look so cute together. Perfect couple." he added.
"Its just, the vibe isin't there, Mav."
"I get it. But anything could happen right?" He chuckled.
"Shut up. Don't you have work to do?" I asked him.
"Oh yea, Uncle Chris would kick my ass if I don't send him the paperwork. See you, Sar. I'll talk to you later."
"Okay. Bye. Keep safe, you little scumbag." I told him seriously.
"I will. You too." And with that, he dropped the call.
I leaned against the sink and looked at myself in the mirror.
"Why aren't there more Jimmy's in this world?" I asked myself before freshening up.
Jimmy:
I walked out my bedroom with my shirt unbuttoned, thinking Sarah was out for her jog. I walked out to the kitchen and to my surprise, Sarah was sitting on the chair, her eyes glued to her phone.
She turned around and chuckled.
"Im guessing you forgot you were wearing a button-up shirt." She smiled. What did she mean? I looked down and Oh my Gosh.
I started buttoning it up and my I could feel my cheeks flush.
"oh...oops." I said before turning around to button it up. Good job, James
"Sorry about that." I said as I rubbed the back of my neck, I could feel my face turn beet red. Dammit, Jimmy.
"Its fine." She smiled as she glanced at her phone.
"So, what's our plan today? Its a Saturday today, no taping." I asked as I started making two cups of coffee.
'Anything, really." She shrugged.
"What do you like to do on these kind of days?" I asked as I sat in front of her and handed her coffee.
"Honestly, Im a lazy-ass. I just sit down at home, watching TV, playing or playing with my dogs." She answered. That was adorable.
"Oh, so you have dogs?"
"Yup. two German shepherds... Chief and Sniper." She grinned.
I chuckled, "Where they now?"
"My little brother is taking care of them."
"The guy you were with the night you bailed my sister out?"
"Yup, That's my Little knucklehead." She said proudly.
"So your the middle child?" I smirked.
"Yes... you have a problem with that?" She joked back.
"Maaaaaaaaaaaaayyybeeee."
"Whatever." She said as she playfully rolled her eyes. I laughed and shook my head, "You're like Kasey... the middle child, the responsible one and the sanest one." I pointed out.
"I think middle children are supposed to be like that. The oldest is the guinea pig and the youngest is the one who gets everything." She said before taking a sip from her coffee.
"Good point."
We sat silently not until her phone started to buzz. She looked at the screen, "Sorry," She mumbled before picking it up.
"Trev? What's up?.. Calm down! What happened?!" She asked as she slowly rose from her seat.
"WHAT?! Where is he?! I-I-I'll go get him!" I heard her exclaim softly. Then my phone started to ring. I picked up,
"Hello?"
"JIMMY!"
"Kasey, What's wrong?"
"Is S-Sarah there?!" She exclaimed. I stood up, "Yea! Why?"
"Its M-Matty! He just lost his balance and fell unconscious and I tried contacting his dad, and it just went to his voice mail! We've already contacted an ambulance! JIMMY WHAT DO I DO?!" She panicked. I looked around and looked at Sarah who just got off the phone
"Stay calm! We'll be there! MAKE SURE HE GETS AIR!" I told her before dropping the call. Sarah looked at me, I nodded. She ran to her bedroom to change and I went to mine.
Please, let that kid be okay.
