Chapter 14

Jimmy's Apartment, New York

Sarah:
I waited for Jimmy to come back with the pizza but he was taking too long. And then my instinct took over.

I walked to the door and stopped when I saw two pairs of eyes on me.

"Hey Denise..."

"Hi," I replied

Jimmy turned around and looked at me before looking back at them.

"Uh, come in." Jimmy said nervously. I looked at him as he looked back with worry and concern in his eyes.

"I didn't know. Sorry." He mouthed. I shook my head, "Its not your fault."

As the four of us sat in the living room in silence, Higgins cleared his throat and broke it.

"Are you guys together?" He asked. Jimmy and I looked at each other,

"Yes!" I shot out not giving Jimmy the time to respond. We are not blowing my cover. Jimmy's eyes went wide as he looked at me.

I mentally slapped myself, now I sound like an eager bitch.

Jimmy chuckled nervously, "Yea."
Higgins and Miles just started grinning like idiots, "Told ya! You owe me a sandwich and 10 bucks!" Higgins laughed. Miles shook his head as he reached for his wallet.

"I knew it! You were the woma-" Higgins was cut off by the doorbell.

"Pizza's here!" Jimmy exclaimed as he jumped up. I nodded and went to get for my wallet.

"I'll go get my wallet." I said as I made my way to the room. I could feel Jimmy following me.

I opened the door and entered,

"Sarah, Im sorry. I-I didn't know." He said.
"We'll talk about this later. For now, we just go with the flow." I told him as I got my wallet.

"No." He said as he stopped me from leaving.

"What?" I asked. He pointed to my wallet.

"Dammit, Jim. At least let me pay for our food." I chuckled. He sighed and nodded, "For now."

"Whatever," I scoffed playfully. He giggled and followed me out.

"I got it!" I said as I walked to the door.

What have I gotten us in?

Jimmy:
I stood there as I watched her walk to the door.

I looked at Higgins and Miles who were giving me two thumbs up. I shook my head and sat on the couch.

"Is she the one you were telling us about?" Miles asked, I sighed and nodded, "Yes."

"Ship you guys." Miles said as he leaned back.

"Since when were you into these teenage lingo?" Higgins asked as he looked at him.
"I have my sources." He said with a smug smile.

"I like her." Higgins added.

I kinda like this.

"Me too." I said as she walked in with the pizza.

She smiled at us as she walked to the
kitchen and placed it on the counter.

"Dinner is served." She chuckled as she walked back to us. I patted the seat beside me and she nodded. But of course, there are boundaries.

"We're okay. Thank you." The both of them smiled.

"So, when did you guys get together? How'd you guys meet?" They shot out.

I could feel Sarah tense up.

"But you know what, we came here to give you the revised script for tomorrow's skit." Miles said as he got something out his pocket. I got it from him and nodded, "Thanks."

"Sure. So, we'll see you guys tomorrow. Don't you guys worry, our lips are sealed." They said as they stood up and went for the door.

We nodded and followed after them.

"Sorry for interrupting."

"Its fine." She smiled. They gave her one last smile before going for the door.

"Enjoy."
And with that, they left.

"I am so sorry." I shot out. She sighed, "Its okay. I said it anyways. But, we have to get things straight." She told me.

I nodded, "Yea. Tomorrow is going to be a pretty busy day."

She nodded, "But first. Pizza."

I laughed, "Yea. Pizza."

"So, since when were we together?" I asked as I took a bite of my pizza.

"A few weeks." She answered as she grabbed her beer bottle and took a sip.

"Ah, got it." I said as I wiped my hands.

"So, you got it?" She asked.

"Yes ma'am. Memorized." I said as I pointed to my brain.

"Good." She smirked.

"And now, Im going to bed. We have a busy day tomorrow." She said as she started cleaning up.

"Okay. Don't worry, let me clean up."

"Not gonna happen, chump."

"Did you just call me chump?" I asked.

"Maybe, Maybe I din't." She smiled.

"Whatever." I smirked. She laughed, It was a beautiful sound.

"Alright. All done. Night, Jimmy." She said as she wiped her hands.

"See ya in the morning." She giggled as she made her way into her bedroom.

"Yea. Will do." I replied with a soft smile.

As I heard her door close, I smiled to myself.

I honestly like this.
