12:04Sarah;
I chuckled before taking a sip from my beer as Trevor told a funny story about us when we were kids.
Jimmy, instinctively, had an arm around me while I leaned onto him. I looked down at my drink, this was getting me tired.
"You okay?" He asked as he gave me a concerned look. Another thing I love-like about him. He cares.
I nodded and flashed him a soft smile, "Yea."
"You sure?"
I nodded, "Positive." He smiled and stared at me for a moment. I looked back at him, unsure of what to do or say. He bent down and placed a soft kiss on my cheek. A smile spread across my face as it lingered there. He pulled back and giggled, "Sorry. I couldn't help it."
I shook my head, "Its all good."
Maverick and Trevor were looking at us, goofy grins plastered on their faces.
"What?" We asked, hiding a giggle.
They looked at each other and smiled wider, "Nothing."
I rolled my eyes and took a swig of my beer. Trevor glanced down at his watch, "Damn, its 12:08. I think I'll bunk in early tonight, if that's okay with ya'll."
Jimmy nodded and stood up, "Of course. I trimmed the grass for you. If you want water, the garden hose is there." He joked. Trevor gave him a serious look. Jimmy laughed, "Im kidding, pal."
Trevor nodded, "Thank God."
"You have two choices, top floor or second floor."
Trevor thought for a moment, "Top floor." He answered before looking at me and giving me a wink.
"Asshole." I muttered. Maverick chuckled so I turned to face him.
"What'd you tell Taylor?"
"She broke it off with me"
That took me by surprise.
He nodded and chugged his beer down.
"Why?"
He shrugged, "She was getting too possessive." He said, putting emphasis on the 'too'. "She didn't want me to talk to other girls at work... Hell, she didn't want me to be friends with you anymore."
"That bitch." I scoffed.
He nodded, "I tried telling her that we never had feelings for each other! You're like the sister I never had and shit like that. No use. She was actually forcing me to let you go. She made me pick, her or you. I chose you."
I gave him a big smile and gave him a big hug, "Aww. Don't worry, there are better girls out there, okay? She clearly doesn't deserve you."
He nodded, "Mmhmm."
Jimmy came back in the room.
"Hey, Jim. I think I'll got to bed too." Maverick told him. Jimmy nodded, "Where do you want? Top or second?" Jimmy winked. He chuckled, "I'll get Top."
"Trevor is there so."
Maverick grabbed his bag and climbed up the stairs, "Night guys. See you." He said before disappearing, leaving Jimmy and I alone.
"Do you want to bunk in too? I'll show you your room."
I looked down at my bottle and up at the clock. I chugged the remaining beer and placed it on the table.
