Chapter 18: Confessions, Healing and Possibly More

 Isabella is staying at Keigo's apartment while she is recovering. Unfortunately, he had to go back to work the next day. So Blaise came to stay with Isabella to make sure she will be okay and so that she isn't alone. Keigo wakes up in the morning and he starts to get ready for work. Isabella gets up with him from a nightmare she has from the woman's voice she has been hearing.

   Keigo helps her calm down when she wakes up freaking out. As he got ready for work, Isabella was looking around Keigo's room and saw the picture of Keigo, Blaise and their friend Touya. She noticed the wings were very familiar, but she never brought it up to Keigo.

   When Keigo leaves the apartment leaving Isabella alone for a while until Blaise gets there. Aizawa ends up showing up at Kiego's apartment without Isabella knowing and he surprises her with a new phone with it being backed up from her old phone. Isabella was really surprised by her dad and a new phone.

   After Aizawa left, Blaise showed up a little bit later. Isabella and Blaise spend most of the day just laying in the bed and relaxing. They did not really move or walk around the apartment. The two girls spoke about a lot of different topics and got to know each other A LOT more and became so much closer as sisters. Then it was finally time for Blaise to head back to the house before Aizawa did. Blaise then left Keigo's apartment that evening. Blaise ended up with a fever, but I never knew yet.

Isabella's Pov

    It has been about a day, Keigo is about to come back home from his shift. I sighed and looked around the room now feeling a little lost. I got up carefully and put the picture back where I got it from on his dresser. Looking around the room one last time, I decided to go to the bathroom to check on my burns and to actually see how my injuries are doing myself.

    When I get in the bathroom I see myself covered in bandages from the neck down. My eyes widened at the sight and I looked down. I guess that's what I get for getting so emotional about what happened... I should take Blaise's advice and learn to take it as a way to get stronger. Looking back up at myself, getting determined and nodding and mumbling, "Time to get more confident and stronger." I continue to look at the mirror and notice the bandages, "It looks like the bandages are really working! I don't hurt as much anymore!"

    While I was standing in the bathroom, I removed the bandages and saw mostly scars on my body. Holy shit! They are mostly gone! I didn't hear the balcony door open. Then the next moment I felt arms around my waist and it scared me half to death. Instead of looking into the mirror to see who grabbed me, I turned around to see Keigo standing behind me smiling from ear to ear. I need to tell him about the messages and about how I feel. Feeling determined as I look at him and smile.

    "Hey Songbird! Missed me?" He smiles so genuinely and happily at me that it makes my heart beat faster.

     As I smile back up at him I nod, "Yeah... I did miss you Kei... a lot." I start to blush while smiling at him.

     I saw his eyes widened in surprise for a second then he smirks, "Oh yeah? Even when Blaise was here?"

    Is he seriously challenging me right now? He won't win this, I won't let him. I smirk and think for a moment. "Hmmm... Did I miss you as much when Blaise was here?" I mock as he holds me in his arms.

   Keigo chuckles as he pulls me closer, "Admit it Songbird...you love me more than my own sister."

   I start giggling at Keigo as I rub my hands along his chest then wrap my around his neck, "The only thing I will admit to is that... I know you love me so much that you would die without me around." I start smirking more.
