"So you guys have been living with each other for more than a month now.. Charles why the hell isn't she your girlfriend yet?" Leonora asked him as she was sat in the apartment on the other side of the table.
He held his hands over his face "I haven't had the right opportunity to ask.. I mean we've been away at races and then she's been doing shoots."
Leonora figured "Well you're both home now..."
"Don't let her peer pressure you Charles, might have the hots for the other Ferrari driver instead." I joked, teasing him once again.
"It's like that is it?" He chuckled deeply.
Leonora shook her head "Nah you wouldn't do that to Isa, he's going to Aston Martin anyways what a crap deal."
"What do you mean? Aston Martin are getting increasingly better each season, they'll be flying with him on their team." I told her as we all continued to discuss the transfer.
"Look what I'm saying is it must be shit to have some random girl take your seat, she's never been in formula two or anything of that equivalent I mean that must suck." Leonora admits as she looks down at her nails, I swallowed.
I gulped "Um Le, I'm not supposed to tell anyone this, no one else knows anything about this not even my family so... please promise me not to tell anyone."
"What are you doing?" Charles asked me, knowing I wasn't supposed to tell anyone including my best friends.
I let out "I'm the new Ferrari driver."
She wasn't giving anything away as we sat in the silence "Your dad.. he doesn't know?" She asked me finally.
I shook my head "There's my best friend, I knew you still had that rebellious spirit in you!" She exclaimed running around the table to hug me "This is like your dream! I'm so happy for you!"
Charles and I continued talking to her and telling her all about the training process and how hard it was to actually be a formula one driver "So are you ever going to tell your dad? I mean surely you won't keep the helmet on at all times for six years?"
I sighed, thinking "I don't know, I want to but he's not the best pleased with me anyway, dating a Ferrari driver is backstabbing enough let alone driving for the damn team."
Leonora countered "Well he didn't exactly want you driving for his team either so what can he do? You're fulfilling your dreams and you shouldn't have guilt for doing that."
"I guess." I replied "I have to keep it quiet anyway, Chanel will sue me if they realise I'm racing against the contract."
"You're walking in November right?" Leonora asked as she remembered the rules of the contract I had told her.
"You're walking on the runway?" Charles asked never hearing of any of this, I nodded a little as he smiled from ear to ear "That's amazing, well done."
I admitted "Won't be a well done when I fall flat on my face."
"God don't put that out into the universe Evs, anyway I have to be off my niece is staying with me and she's a nightmare when it comes to the horses." Leonora explained getting up to leave as she grabbed her bag.
We waved her off as she drove away, many fans had figured out Charles and I had something going on as my pink Porsche is very distinctive and having it parked next to his custom Ferrari made it a little obvious, but at the end of the day I had teased them all in the first place with the plane photo.
"You talk to each other more like sisters than friends, did you know that?" Charles picked up on as I locked the door after she'd left.
"I mean I haven't spoken to my sister in a little so that's probably why." I suggested as I sat down on the sofa, truthfully I had hardly spoken to anyone in my family since moving out.
My dad and I hadn't spoken once, my sister had her phone taken off of her as she told my dad that he was an idiot for making me move out and Jack didn't own a phone.
Benedict and I never contacted eachother even when we were both on good terms, granted we had been better since I moved out because it was a lot less of a forced relationship but we weren't that close.
"I haven't been as close with Arthur as I'd like to recently, I used to check up on him more since my dad passed away but.. I've been so busy." Charles admitted letting out a breathe.
I suggested "Maybe you should ask if he wants to get dinner or something, I don't know what you guys like to do together but making some plans can't hurt."
Charles shook his head and sighed "He is never in the mood to do anything anymore, once dad died he wasn't allowed to race anymore all the money was spent on my career so he's had to stop, as if dad dying wasn't bad enough he's had to stop his passion for me."
"That is awful, so what is he doing now?" I asked a little intrigued, he'd mentioned his little brother was in formula two for a while but Never acknowledged why he dropped out.
"Your guess is as good as mine, he's just existing." Charles expressed, I felt bad for Arthur, racing was his escape from life when it was getting tougher with his dads illness and now he couldn't do it at all.
I spoke "I want to meet him."
Charles grabbed my hand "I'm not sure you do Evs, his frame of mind isn't good at all so he just says horrible things.. he doesn't realise it. It's like subconscious."
I quizzed "Like Ben?"
"A little." Charles confirmed, my brother has and still is in a very bad state of mind and is constantly making other peoples lives worse without realising it.
"But your older brother, he's been doing okay?" I asked him.
He nodded "Oh Lorenzo is holding my family up, he is the glue holding us all together for sure. He's dealt with it the best, but he's most mature and always has been."
