"Congratulations Toto, Mercedes did well today, really weren't letting the win get anywhere close to us today." Charles told him as we all sat around the table.
Today was the last race of the season of which Lewis had won, due to the exciting result my dad had invited Charles and I over for dinner with Charles' brothers included also, he wanted to get to know his family but Pascale declined.
"Trying to get onto my team?" My dad raised a brow jokingly.
Charles smiled "As much as that would make my life easier, I'm loyal to Ferrari."
"Ferrari!" Jack squealed holding his lightning McQueen car, as much as he was not interested in racing my dad constantly tries.
"Too right." Lorenzo agreed with him.
Susie shrugged "What are you doing at the moment Evelyn, you're done with Chanel now right?"
Getting ready to race my way through 2024.
"Oh you know, some brand deals here and there, I'm afraid I have a lot of shoots to attend next year so I don't think I'll be at many, if any races at all." I said through gritted teeth, trying to create a cover as to why I wouldn't be around as really I would be driving the Damn car.
Rosa was quick to take the bait "Ooh who are you shooting with?"
"That's a secret until I actually sign the contracts, up until Christmas though it's all pretty chill." I smiled, Charles held my knee under the table at the sight of our families bonding.
"Christmas!!!" Jack screeched once again.
"Hm yeah, Evelyn I'm expecting a good gift because I've seen the money you're making from Chanel." Rosa smiled, laughing a little.
"Oh me too." Benedict joined in, Ben was sat by Lorenzo and the pair had been chatting all night long about random stuff as they were close in age.
"My biggest priority is Pascale, what the heck am I going to get your mum for Christmas?" I asked Charles.
"You don't have to get her anything." He shook his head, "Nonsense, I've already sorted out your brothers I need to get one for your mum too."
"She won't get you anything Ev." Arthur told me truthfully, "That's not the point, I still need to get her something nice." I thought thinking for a moment.
"A Mercedes?" My dad suggested, I just rolled my eyes "When am I going to get my Mercedes back dad? Or is that my Christmas present?"
"Who knows." He shrugged, but I knew as I saw it in the garage with a bow on it a few days ago, my dad always had his Christmas presents planned out nice and early and I always found them.
In the Wolff household, Christmas was an event, we always had hundreds of people over on Christmas Eve for a massive party and then Christmas Day would be just the same, it was never small and sentimental.
"You three have to come to the Christmas parties." Susie invited the Leclerc boys warmly.
"Parties plural?" Charles asked.
"Oh yeah, the Wolff event of the year." Rosa agreed with her.
"I didn't go last year, I'm going to need to step it up now, I'm expecting a shit ton of questions from all of your fancy friends dad." I told him laughing a little, him frowning as I cussed.
"Oh we couldn't." Charles shook his head.
"If you don't I will cry, and bring your mum too." I threatened, Charles nodded along accepting the invite, "Even if he didn't come I would've don't worry Ev, the coolest child would always make it." Arthur told me, getting a laugh out of my dad.
Ben snorted, "Remember two years ago when Evelyn got drunk and she fell into the chocolate fountain? Jack got all scared of her because she thought she was a monster."
"Oh my god." I held my face in my hands, I couldn't even remember that, despite the addiction issues being post crash I was always and had always been the rebellious and stupid child.
"Or the time I found her naked in the middle of the garden because she'd went skinny dipping at three in the morning and just passed out on the grass." Rosa added, my dad now shutting his eyes to block out the memories.
Charles leaned closer to me chucking a little, "I like this. I like it a lot." I smiled up at him, our families all chatting away made me truly happy, happier than I'd been in a long time.
My dad coughed, "So Charles, this new driver are they any good? Should I be worried?" He was trying to get information.
Charles swallowed "Best I've seen in a long time, I'd say you should be worried but I'm a little biased."
"So this girl what did she do before formula one? Obviously she wasn't in the formula two line up or anything that we are aware of? Who the hell is it?" My dad asked, letting his thoughts aloud.
Charles shrugged "I don't really know what she used to do, she's really skill full though she's much faster than me."
"Oh pfft because you're that fast." Arthur poked fun at his brother, it was nice to see him so happy after hearing how hard his past had been.
"Lightning McQueen is faster." Jack shrugged.
"And remember what colour car he is in Jack, a red one." Charles encouraged him, my dad tutted at jacks but ultimately was happy about the relationship of charles and my family.
"Never did I ever think we'd be in Saudi Arabia sat at dinner with one of Fred's boys dating my daughter, my word." My dad mumbled swigging his drink immediately, I laughed a little in response as did Charles.
"Hey never did I ever think I'd be sat in the presence of a billionaire but here I am." Arthur added, causing laughter from all three of my siblings.
