"So why aren't you coming to the Canadian Grand Prix if you're literally in Canada?" Rosa asked as we sat in the catering section of the hotel.
I shrugged trying to come up with an excuse "I have a shoot during it, I'm just down here to support Charles."
Susie smiled and sipped on her morning coffee "What a lovely relationship you both have."
Charles smiled and wrapped his arm around me, pulling me into him "Ev is the whole lovely part."
Ben commented "It must suck that all of your shoots at the moment are during the grand prixs, we all know how much you love them."
"It's not too bad, usually when they're taking the photos they ask me to concentrate on something so I stream the race and just watch it whilst posing and stuff." I lied, but they all lapped it up nodding along as I sipped on my orange juice.
Susie mentioned "Your dad wished he could come with us this morning but he's having a strategy meeting ahead of the race."
This morning the family had agreed to breakfast together in Canada, four days before the race and had invited Charles and I also to which we agreed, we didn't have to tell the team that we went out for a meal.
"Jack went with?" Charles asked.
"Yeah, he's getting much more into it this season he's still a Ferrari fan though, I'm starting to think it's something we just can't shake out of him." Ben chuckled reminding us of my little brother and his antics, Ben had been a lot more happy and we had seemingly returned back to being 'normal' siblings.
Charles smiled, looking at me "I mean what can I say, two of the Wolff siblings have turned to Ferrari fans."
I rolled my eyes "You wish."
Susie face palmed "God don't say your a fan in front of your father, Ferrari are close in points to us, it can still go either way."
"Oh yeah the girl driver is doing well for her rookie season." Ben pointed out, to which we all nodded in agreement.
"She's come second three times in a row now." Rosa agreed, which was fucking true.
Charles beamed,"She's really impressed us all, there was no doubt she was a good driver but for a rookie she's doing the best anyone's done in formula one in years, May be the first ever driver to have a world championship in there first year."
A quality I loved about Charles was that even though I was technically doing better than him, even if it was just by a little he was so happy for me. Always so truly, happy for me.
"I know it's crazy, it's sending dad insane. It's so funny." Rosa giggled as she continued to eat her waffles.
I nodded "I can imagine."
Rosa put her hand up remembering something, "Oh my god have you heard?"
"Heard what?" I laughed, watching her mannerisms.
Rosa gasped "Oh no. She hasn't heard."
"Bloody hell what is it?"
Susie sighed, "Leonora um she has a new boyfriend, well we think she does because we saw her kissing him at the docks the other day."
I looked to Charles,"She didn't mention that when we FaceTimed her yesterday? That's exciting though."
Rosa shook her head, "Ev, she was kissing Harold.... Your Harold."
"Christmas party guy? The lunatic who started shouting? The one who we had to spend new years filing a restraining order against?" Charles asked her, to which she nodded.
I shook my head "I don't believe that for a second, she knew what he was like I mean christ she was the the Christmas party too? I thought she and Matt were getting on."
"Apparently not. We both saw it the other day when we went on a walk, maybe you should speak to her about it but it was weird." Rosa acknowledged.
I sighed,"I mean, I'm not even annoyed if she wants him she can have him he's a disgusting human being but.. I didn't think she'd go there, if anything we need to help her out of it like now."
Charles knew that he was a bad guy based off of stories I'd told him before, but still he didn't know the half of it. He encouraged so much of my bad behaviours to the extent that if I didn't agree with him, he'd start hitting me.
Rosa sighed "Evs we all wanted you out of that relationship and you know best, she will have rose coloured glasses on she won't see it like we all do."
And she was damn right, the danger behind abusive relationships is how easily one can be emotionally manipulated and not even see it.
Evelyn: Hey Le! I've heard some whispering that you're with H, I don't know how much of that is true and I'm not annoyed at you at all. I just hope you know what you're doing, he's a dangerous guy and I only want what's best for you, I'm sure you remember me telling you how horrible he was. When I'd come to your house in the middle of the night in tears that he'd hit me again, and you telling me to leave. Please just consider that he isn't a good person Le. Remember Christmas? I love you, and you deserve someone who loves you too.
