After tossing and turning all night, Rain stumbled into the bathroom the next morning and found the first note stuck to the mirror.

You are not alone. Su Su Na❣️

It was on a green Post-it with a heart exclamation point carefully colored in with red marker.

Was this from Sky??

...It couldn't be from anyone else.

Ok, that's...sweet...some words of encouragement...Strange, but sweet....

He had never done that before, but Sky was not a touchy-feely person, so maybe this was a new way of communicating that he was trying out.

Rain continued brushing his teeth and doing his morning routine, thinking he would ask Sky about it. But Sky was not home right now, his bedroom door was open and no one was there.

Rain thought about his day ahead as he got dressed. He had a long shift at the clinic.. so maybe he should pack a lunch?

Things got pretty hectic there once the day got going. Today he had to be there from 10-6, pretty much the whole day.

He made his way into the kitchen and saw the 2nd note on the refrigerator.

There is h🌸pe even when your brain tells you there isn't.

This time there was a flower carefully drawn in where the O was in hope on a light yellow Post-it.

Ok, now this was just weird.

The last one was inside the refrigerator stuck onto the egg carton.

💕Asking for help is a sign of strength!💕

This time with little pink hearts scattered all over a light blue note.

What the ACTUAL fuck??

He heard the key in the lock. Sky was back.

Sky walked in with a carryout bag of what must be his breakfast.

He looked up at Rain and saw him standing there clutching some of the Post-it notes with a scowl on his face. He smiled very cautiously at him and came inside.

"Sky, what the hell are all these?"

"Rain, now don't get upset, but maybe you should talk to somebody...?"

"What?? Talk to somebody about what?"

Sky gave him the side-eye. "Whatever has you losing your mind this past week!"

"You've been mumbling to yourself, glancing off into space, giggling and smiling like an idiot, not answering when I ask you what's going on..."

"Should I keep going??"

"What do you mean?" Rain asked him, now really confused.

Sky looked at him disbelievingly. "Rain you haven't been yourself for the past few days. You seem troubled or giddy, and you don't pay attention to anything. If I didn't know you so well, I'd think you were on something!"

"You've been muttering about moons and pools. What does that even mean? ....Gasp...did a cult get to you??" He asked wide-eyed as this new thought entered his head.

"Sky, I have no idea what you are talking about. Why didn't you just talk to me before?"

Now Sky gave him a dirty look. "Rain! I've been trying to talk to you for days. You haven't heard a word I said! And I hear you tossing and turning at night! What is going on??"
