Phayu's parents insisted that they gather for a last meal together before heading back to the city.
Because it had been so hectic since they arrived, they hardly had any time together just as an immediate family, so it would be only the five of them - Phayu, Saifah, their parents, and Rain- for lunch.
So everyone slept in since the night had gone late or been terribly intense depending on who you talked to.
Poor Saifah was doomed either way. Hopefully, he had gotten some earplugs, Phayu thought with a snicker.

The sun was streaking in and lighting up the room with golden beams when Rain awoke. Judging by the brightness, it was pretty late in the morning.
Phayu wasn't next to him, but he could hear the shower running in the bathroom.
They didn't have to gather till noon. He looked at his phone. It was almost 11. He burrowed again into the sheets and pillow, happy to linger in bed a little longer.
He had only fallen asleep close to dawn, Phayu's words and confession swirling in his head and ravaging his heart, making sleep impossible.
And no one needed to know that he had slipped out of bed and lain down on the other side so that he could look at Phayu as he slept. He couldn't help himself.
Good thing Sky wasn't around to see this, he would have called him creepy for sure, he thought to himself, even as he gently stroked Phayu's eyebrows and the little mole above his lip with the most butterfly of adoring touches.
Phayu was breathtakingly handsome, accomplished, and worldly. Rain never expected that he would fall in love with him, not in a million years!
Why him? He was no different than so many other boys he would have come across.
Rain was truly confounded.
Yes, he always felt that they had good...umm...great....ok...mind-blowing chemistry together.
Did Phayu think so too?
Rain had no point of comparison. But even without one, he knew what they had was intense, all-consuming.
Had Phayu ever had that before with others?
When they were together, it was as if they had known each other for a long time, not the couple of months it had actually been since they "met" on the night of his birthday.
They were so comfortable with each other, there was no pretense, no inhibitions. He realized it was because Phayu had treated him - taught him - that way from the start.
And it wasn't as if he didn't want to just dive in and be with Phayu. He knew that it would be wonderful...even easy to do so.
What made him hesitate was the thought of losing him down the road. He already adored and loved Phayu so much, if he left him down the road, he didn't know how he could rebound from that.
