Since it was Thursday night, Rain was performing in the revue with other male dancers. They had already done one show earlier and the second one was just beginning when Phayu got there.

Mhok saw him in the crowd.

He greeted Phayu with a smile, clapping him heartily on the back. "Back again?"

"Hey, P'Mhok. Yes, back again," replied Phayu with a warm smile in return.

"Here to see the show?"

"Something like that," Phayu said as the lights dimmed, the music thrummed, and the dancers entered.

A group of eight men took the stage, all of different builds, handsome each in their own right to please the varied tastes of the customers.

Despite all the good looks, muscles, and captivating confidence of the men on the stage, Phayu only had eyes for one.

"Rain's performance always stands out, doesn't it? " Mhok complimented, seeing where Phayu's interest was

"Rain's performance always stands out, doesn't it? " Mhok complimented, seeing where Phayu's interest was.

"Yes, he's really good, isn't he?"

"Well, if you are looking to catch him, you can go wait where the stage exit is," he offered kindly, assuming correctly that Phayu was only there for Rain.

Phayu thanked him gratefully and went to wait for Rain, his nervousness only growing as he thought about explaining this crazy situation to Rain and all the potential ways he could respond.

There were about one or two possible good scenarios, but many more ways this could go terribly wrong.

Even if he didn't storm away in horror, there was still a chance that the steady progress they had made this week would be destroyed.

It had not been easy making headway with Rain, to try to shift them from teacher/student to something more real and flirtatious.

Rain was an intriguing blend of contradictions: in one moment bold and in another cautious, innocent yet seductive, openly passionate and somehow reserved.

But Phayu loved the complicated potion that was Rain. It had worked its way under his skin, streamed into his blood, and then laced into his heart.

Each day this week he felt like he had slowly but surely scraped away at another layer. He loved the challenge of getting below the surface and finding the real Rain underneath.

As he waited, he thought back to when the tone had started to change...It began the morning after Rain had slept over.

Monday morning had been a bit of a rush since he had to be at the hospital fairly early for his shift.

He had been so reluctant to wake Rain up as that would mean their night was officially over. All he wanted to do was stay tucked in bed with Rain snuggled up against his body and feel him breathe and watch him sleep.
