Name origin: his mother was a big fan of the book "The Outsiders", and decided to name him after one of the characters. He's glad she didn't choose the name Ponyboy instead
Age: a couple months or so older then Ellie
Gender: male
Sexuality: he's a bit too young in 1, but by 2 he's bisexual
Weapons: Machete, sniper rifle, pistol. Most proficient in the Rifle and Machete. He is left handed, as an added detail
Personality: he's a nerd for comic books and video games, having a rarity, a Gameboy color. He's generally friendly, trying to always lighten the mood with jokes when he can. He can be a bit paranoid in new areas, always having a weapon close at all times just in case. He's definitely an animal lover, and was previously a fan of the fireflies, until of course what nearly happened to Ellie.
Mental issues: Anxiety, severe insomnia, PTSD
Other: his Gameboy is his prized possession, and he always carries it with him. He has practically every game for it to boot, having been collecting them for years, along with batteries and a device that recharges them when he has a working outlet
Backstory: Soda was born to a widowed woman named Maria, his father having been killed while working for the fireflies. He was raised alongside Ellie, and witnessed her getting bitten. His mother had died from a severe illness, so he decided to go with Ellie, as they wanted to bring him to the same facility for training anyway. He got along well with Joel, and was obviously best friends with Ellie, deciding to stay with them permanently after the incident with the fireflies.
In the start of the second game, he's a hunter, also helping with the horse foals if needed. Joel takes care of him, until of course he moved out like Ellie, into another remade shed-house. At this point, he hardly sleeps anymore, having intense insomnia thanks to everything he experienced as a kid with Ellie. He winds up seeing Joel killed with her, and goes along to hunt down Abby
Style: he always has his favorite green hoodie, which has a broken zipper and several patches, which are not quite the right color of green to blend in properly. Other then that, he wears t shirts and sweatpants, with a pair of old dirty red hightops.
Scars: an old scar from a bullet wound in his left shoulder, and a scar across his chest from a machete (both from events in first game time period)
Tattoos: (all gained after first game, before second game) a dragon sleeve tattoo on his right arm (shoulder to wrist) and a crow tattoo on his left hand
Other: he has his own dog in the second game, an Australian shepherd named Pumpkin. She's always with him
