Shailene Point of View
I sit on one of the many burgundy sofas in the club. The music is blaring through the speakers placed carefully in each and every corner of the building, causing everything inside to vibrate.
I've started drinking - obviously.
I sit with Ansel and Violetta and Ansel's guests - his parents, his brother Warren and Warren's girlfriend.
The place is starting to fill up with the people who purchased the overpriced tickets to the advanced screening, premiere and the after party. Personally I wouldn't pay $3,000 dollars to see anyone. No matter how much I liked them.
Actually scratch that, I'd pay anything and I mean anything to Anais Nin.
Ansel leaves the table and Violetta scooches over to talk to me.
"Where's your date?" Violetta asks.
I take another swing of my drink and start blinking uncontrollably. It's a side affect of being drunk, and probably not a pretty sight.
"I don't have one," I admit smiling sadly.
"Awh, why? You have so many friends....and now I realise how idiotic I'm being. You couldn't bring the one you wanted because he's already here."
"What are you talking about Vi?"
She turns her head to the side frowning."I'm not stupid Shai, or blind for that matter. He hasn't stopped looking at you all night."
I turn my entire body around to see where she's pointing and my eyes land on him.
He has taken his suit jacket off and he's talking to some people I don't recognise. He has a drink in one hand and a short blonde latching on to the other. And while he's talking to them, he's still staring at me.
Angrily, I turn back around and grab a bottle of vodka off the table. I pour some into my glass and when I turn to pour some into Violetta's, she puts her hand over the top.
I sigh. "Ahh, right. You're only 19! Bring on the orange juice then!"
She laughs and puts her arm around me. We lean back onto the sofa together.
Ansel appears again with a giant grin on his face. "This is amazing! Ah look at my girls together!" He says pointing to us. Violetta laughs.
A fan runs over to him and whispers in his ear, she then grabs his hand and they join a group of girls that look in their early twenties and they start taking pictures.
He catches my attention again. Now the blonde is sitting on his lap.
"He's having a kid with her." I say.
Violetta looks up. "Who? Oh.. right. And...how do you feel about that?"
Even in my drunk state of mind I'm still aware of what I'm saying. I debate whether or not I should tell her about what happened with me and Theo. I've told her many things about me before. I trust her. She's one of my best friends and I know her thanks to Ansel.
Our only problem is that I live in Los Angeles and she's all the way across the county in New York.
We still chat all the time though.
"Lets not talk here," I look around. I see the bathrooms across the room. "Let's go there."
I grab her hand and make a run for the bathrooms. On the way I see a woman I've been seeing all day long - she's creeping me out to be perfectly honest. She holds a drink in her hand and her phone in the other. She's been snapping photos of Ruth all night long.
