"So, that's the spot ye've been workin' on for these past few days?" Hiccup implied, staring at the mentioned area next to Astrid's house, which was surrounded by the throwing targets. "I thought ya had finished with it."
"I never will, Hiccup. When will ya learn?" Astrid snorted, leaning her axe against her shoulder. "Best of three?"
"You got it," Heather responded, grinning widely as she gripped her axe, hard. "Watch and learn," she mocked, winking at Astrid, before throwing her axe, which hit the target, perfectly. "Impressed?"
"No," Astrid snickered and stroke the next target, the same accurately. "I can do it in my sleep."
"I know a lot of other things you also could," Heather responded, smirking and gazing at Astrid until they were interrupted by a loud groan.
"Can ya leave the flirtin' for later?" Ruffnut, who had been dragged along with them on their way to the area, grumbled. "I need ya to focus, so I can rightfully beat yer asses," she scoffed, but when she threw her weapon, it landed slightly under the target. "Damn it!"
"How it was? Beat our asses?" Astrid sniggered and frowned, just as Ruffnut tossed her dagger, which shoot at the center. "That's not an axe."
"It's always 'that's not an axe', and only because ya know that once we'll compete with daggers I would win," Ruffnut assured, glaring at Astrid, annoyed.
"Reason why we won't," Astrid nagged, squirming her eyes at Ruffnut, simpering.
"We could play with daggers once we finish this," Heather proposed, before glancing at Hiccup, pointing at her with her chin. "You're up."
"Me? Maybe, it'd be better if I passed," Hiccup indicated, smiling nervously and shrugging. "I don't mind watchin', it's even better, actually. Besides, I don't know the rules."
"What's here to understand?" Heather retorted, moving to her, passing her the axe, that moment ago was connected to her other one, as a double one, and led her before the empty target. "You throw and whoever got the most accurate wins. Simple."
"Okay, but I warn ya, I'm pretty bad at this," Hiccup chuckled, before taking aim and throwing the metal object, which landed halfway towards the intended target.
Gritting her teeth, Hiccup peeked at her companions, turning scarlet from embarrassment. While Heather forced a smile, the other two narrowed their eyes, boring holes into her, until Astrid grunted.
"How ya survived on the Berk will remain secret," she sneered as the whole group stepped forward to pick their axes, and while so, she raised her chin. "Now, I'll show ya how it's done."
"Come on! Show him how it's done!" Snotlout yelled, gnashing his teeth, nervously.
He and Tuffnut sat near the almost completed training arena, leaning forward, watching the scene within. Inside, the two dragons- the black and red ones- fought with vigor, as their roars and the excited shouts of the surrounding Vikings filled the air.
"Finish him, finally!" Tuffnut shouted and cheered, being on cloud nine as his prayers were fulfilled and the Monstrous Nightmare lay defeated on the ground. "Ha! Pay up!" he ordered, pulling his open palm towards Snotlout next to him.
Subsequently, while groaning, Snotlout listened, dropping two gold coins into his pouch while glaring at Hookfang, who had just gotten out from under Toothless. "I believed in ya," he grumbled, gritting his teeth.
Simultaneously, Toothless changed himself, just to remind, "Half of it is mine," Tuffnut, pointing at his prize.
"No," Tuffnut begged, moaning. "Ya don't even use money! It's basically-,"
