"Hiccup, listen to me, finally! If you did, we would've been already over with this," Toothless ensured, lying comfortably on the ground, next to the serene river, while gawking at the black dragonness, resembling him. "Focus, and attack fast, without hesitation."

The mentioned female peeked at him irritated before her dark, green eyes landed on the water's surface once again while leaning her body over it. "It's so easy for you to say, but I would like to remind you, that I wasn't hunting in like, ever," she clarified, surveying every detail in the water. "I'm lacking in experience."

"The only thing you're lacking is confidence," Toothless stated, huffing at the glimpse of annoyed Hiccup. "Whenever there will be an occasion, just go for it, as suddenly as possible. The more unexpectedly the better-; here it comes!" he barked, abruptly.

Consequently, Hiccup gazed where he was, and detected the fish swimming through the water, however, she didn't make it in time to catch it. Afterward, raising her soaked face, growling, internally. Wiping the liquid with her paw off, she wrinkled her nose, glancing gloomily at her partner.

"I'll give up in a moment."

"Don't be like that. You'll get it right, undoubtedly," he reassured, quirking up the corner of his mouth. "Just concentrate, calm down, and-,"

"I would concentrate if it wasn't for your raving in my head!" Hiccup interjected, immediately regretted it, witnessing how Toothless's smile faded, and exhaled, soundly. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be harsh, I am just tired."

"Understandable, I would be drained too if I were you; I may would've been even worse," he noted, nodding, comprehensibly. "I'll be out of your hair, although, in this case, I'll be out of your scales," he joked, and then, noticing Hiccup's rather unamused reaction shut his mouth, laying down on the ground, turning his head away, defeated.

Rolling her eyes at him, Hiccup once again focused on the blue surface, and catching the sight of another fish, her body worked almost instinctively as she dove for it and snatched it into her mouth. Instantly, she turned toward the male, wiggling with joy, while he lifted his neck from the ground and gazed at her, proudly.

Suddenly, before either of them could react, the fish inside Hiccup's jaw started moving, smacking its tail into her eye. Without knowing what to do, she let it go, because of which, the wounded vertebrate swam away across the stream, swiftly.

Afterward, Hiccup groaned, and at the sound of a loud, amused snicker next to her, snarled. "Don't you dare," she warned, scowling at him, furiously.

Subsequently, Toothless fought with the urge to laugh, and after succeeding in this, stood up, before walking up to her. "Well, you must admit, it was quite funny," he jested, but instead of agreeing, Hiccup gazed at the ground, embarrassed, because of which, stopping by her, he covered her back with his folded wing. "Don't worry, you did the hardest part. We just have to teach you what you should do if such a situation occurs again."

"Such a situation?" she repeated, squirming her eyes at him.

"You know, when the fish stays alive, even though you caught it," he defined and elaborated, "What you want to do then, is just to unalive it, and there are various possibilities, the best one yet is just to bite onto it harder, maybe ripping its head from its body."

"That seems brutal."

"Welcome into a dragon world," he sneered, nudging her side with his snout, before pointing with his head on the water. "Second try?" he proposed and Hiccup nodded, convinced.
