Just as the morning, orange, bright sun shone over the Berk, melting some of the snow surrounding it, Hiccup stared at it from the window of her room. Standing on her bed, she leaned her middle on the window frame, inhaling the cold, yet fresh winter breeze.
Her mind was wrapped by the thought of crossing the horizon, what was about to happen in a few moments. Consequently, she felt the thrill, encircling her body with enthusiasm, but also slight frighten. Moreover, twisting her fingers she ignored the second emotion, focusing on the good aspect of travel.
Immediately, her eyes lowered to the ground, just under the roof of the house, next to the building. There, she caught a glimpse of Toothless who strengthened himself and simultaneously changed himself, from one form to another. Afterward, she stared at his back, until the flush crept up her face, and to avoid unnecessary awkwardness, she grunted.
"Stretching out old bones, aren't we?" She exclaimed while Toothless leered at her, smirking mysteriously.
"Why? You like the view?" He questioned and burst into laughter, just as Hiccup's arm slipped from the window's frame and she fell on her bed, hard.
Instantly, after she got up, she scolded him, reddened from embarrassment. "Hilarious," she rumbled and gritted her teeth, observing how his amused state remained, afterward sliding from the roof to him. "Could ya just-," she began but was drowned out by his mirth.
Thus, she bored her eyes onto his bent self, before moving to his side and jacking his arm, resulting in his confused stare. "What are you doing?" He asked, glancing at her, lifting his eyebrow.
"Tryin' to brin' ya down into the snow," she replied, jumping on top of his back.
Instead of falling over her weight, Toothless straightened, almost throwing off her. "You know, it won't work if you said me that," he pointed out, gaping at how Hiccup got off his back, grasped his neck, and hung from it. "Seriously?"
"Please!" She begged, resisting her chin on his chest, pouting.
"Really?" He groaned but after the moment of goggling into her, he encircled her body with his arms, before falling into the snow on his back, with her on top of him. "Happy?"
"Very," she cheered, grinning widely.
"Even so, I wouldn't be so proud of myself if I were you. I did it on my own, literally."
"Maybe I didn't force ya into fallin' psychically, but I did mentally," she replied, relying her hands on top of his chest and leaning her chin on them. "It's good to know my manipulatin' adorableness still works," she sniggered and stopped, once feeling the weight of snow on her head, dropped there by smirking Toothless. "I should've stayed quiet."
"You should," he agreed, afterward asking. "Are you ready for the travel?"
Subsequently, Hiccup clicked her tongue, sitting up while Toothless did the same just after her, so she sat on his knee. "Well, I think so," she started and then nodded, convinced. "I am ready. I sure am."
"Glad to hear," he responded, hugging her, momentarily. "So, have you packed everything?" He inquired, patting her back so she stood up.
"Yes and fortunately there is not much of it," she retorted, looking at him as he stood up himself. "After all, we don't want to strain yer poor back," she teased, stroking his mentioned body part.
"Oh yeah, you reminded me! Returning to your question-,"
"Which one?"
"About strengthening; yes and no."
"So ya were strengthenin' and ya weren't?"
"Well, yes, because in the middle of it, the curiosity caught me," he explained, grabbing swiftly the nearby backpack and throwing it on his back. "Watch this!" He added, before changing and pointing with his head to his empty back. "Where did the backpack go? It disappeared!"
