The Morning

When I woke up, everything felt pretty normal. That was until I remembered what had happened earlier.

Ana was gone, and it was my fault. She was mad at me for eating, and I was mad at myself for the same reason. I shouldn't have eaten, I needed Ana.

I had to make her come back, so I thought of a plan. I decided I'd starve until she came back, so maybe when she did she'd see that I was thinner, and that I was really committed to this.

But it wasn't easy. I was weak, very weak. I ate often, usually cheese. But I hated it, I hated eating. Ana would never come back because I was still a fat piece of shit.

I figured I should try harder to lose weight, so I went out for a run. I woke up at 7:30 am, put on some yoga pants and an old shirt, grabbed my water bottle and went out for a run.

I'd been jogging around the park for twenty minutes, when I heard some steps approaching. I looked to my left and saw a girl. She was jogging too, with her water bottle and all. Something about her energy was just so... Familiar. But I couldn't put my finger on it.

When I saw she kept up with me, I figured out that maybe she wanted to talk. Either that or she was stalking me. So I started to slow down, and so did she. When we were both walking, I decided to start a conversation.

"Do I know you?" I asked, trying not to sound rude.

"No, but I know you" she said. Her voice was high pitched, but not annoying.

"Huh?" I said, confused.

"I'm friends with Ana," she said "and she told me about you"

Everything made sense. Everything clicked when she mentioned Ana. Why? I finally realized what was so familiar about this girl. She reminded me of Ana. It wasn't her looks, because her hair was light brown and wavy, and it only reached her shoulders. Her body resembled Ana's, but she wasn't as thin; she was a little thicker. However, she was not fat; Ana was just extremely thin. Anyway, she was still thinner and prettier than me. Literally any girl was.

"Oh" I said, still thinking about the two girls, and how they were so alike...

"I'm Mia, by the way" she said, as if she noticed I really didn't know what to say.

"I'm Marianne" I replied, but I was sure she already knew my name.

"So are you and Ana still friends?" She asked.

"I don't know," I said, honestly "I hope so"

"Is she mad at you?"

"Yes"

"Why?"

"Because I ate" I said, looking at the grass as I felt the tears stinging my eyes.

"What did you eat?" She asked, and I knew answering her question would make me cry.

"A Nutella sandwich, pistachios and a candy bar" I said, trying to catch the teardrops with my fingers before they rolled down my huge cheeks.

She made a face, and I felt even worse, so I looked away.

"Don't cry" Mia said, like she didn't know what to do.

"I just want to be friends with Ana again" I said, trying hard to stop the tears before the crying got more intense.

"I can help you get Ana's forgiveness" she said, and I immediately looked at her.

"How?" I asked, with my eyes wide open and my eyebrows almost meeting.

"Take me to your house, I'll teach you"
