Ana approached us, running.

"Stop! She can't eat that! Are you out of your mind?" She scolded Sue.

"Oh come on, it's just a candy bar. Plus, the girl's been pretty sad since she met Deb, and chocolate is supposed to cheer you up" Sue told her.

"There's like a thousand calories in it!" Ana said, taking the Butterfinger from Sue's hands.

"I just wanted her to eat something before-"

"YOU'RE NOT TAKING HER!" Ana interrupted her.

"Ana, calm down. Let the girl eat the candy bar, I'll get rid of it later" Mia said, walking towards us.

"No!" Ana exclaimed. "She's doing great, you're not going to ruin this, Mia, and neither are you, Sue"

"She's going with Sue" I heard a voice from behind. I turned around to see Deb and Cat walking towards us.

"I should've known it was you, Deb" Ana said.

"It's the right thing to do" Deb shrugged.

"I actually agree with her, I tried to do it to her myself, but I couldn't. Sue has to do it" Cat said.

"What on earth are you guys talking about?" I asked, intimidated.

"You'll find out soon enough" Sue said as she grabbed my wrist, pulling me away from the other girls.

"No, she won't" Ana said, grabbing my other wrist.

"Ana, let it go" Cat said, softly.

"Sue can't take her yet, she's not ready!" Ana argued, still holding on to my wrist. She touched my cuts, and I saw something in her face change.

"You did this!" She yelled at Cat.

"I told you I tried to do it"

"But she can't. Not yet"

"So only the pretty ones are allowed to die?" Deb asked.

"No! But people only care if you're pretty. I mean, look at her" she said, turning to me. "She's not thin enough, she's not pretty enough! She's not popular, and she has no friends. Who would care?"

"That's precisely why she should go with Sue," Deb replied "because she's not enough"

"You're not going to say anything?" Ana accused Mia.

"I don't have an opinion, I don't care" she replied in a soft voice.

"Ugh" Ana was frustrated.

"So I'm taking her" Sue said, pulling my arm again.

"If you take her right now, I'll never forgive you, I swear"

"Goodbye, sis" Sue smiled at her.

After that, she pulled my arm, and the argument was over.

Sue and I walked, but she wouldn't tell me where we were going. We walked and walked in silence, but I was getting bored, so I decided to start a conversation.

"Why did you call Ana 'sis'?" I asked, curious.

"Because she is my sis" she replied, not looking at me.

"What?" I blurted out, surprised.

"We're all sisters" she said. Well, that was the explanation to the gray eyes.

"Why do they hate you? That argument didn't seem like typical sibling drama"

"It's jealousy" she answered. "They hate me, they always have... But it's only because they're jealous"

"Why are they jealous?"

"Because I'm mom's favorite" she said, smiling a little bit.

"How do you know that?" I asked. Was her ego that big?

"She told me" she explained. "She said she loved me the most because I am the only one who puts an end to other people's suffering, while my sisters are the ones causing it"

"How do you end other people's suffering?" I asked. I wanted my suffering to end, was Sue going to help me?

"You'll find out" she replied. "After I told Sophie about you she said it was the right thing to do, to end your suffering"

"Sophie?"

"Mom" she clarified.

"Where are we going?" I asked, impatient.

"Right here" she said as she entered a building and I followed.

She led me to the elevator, which took us to the 30th floor. The doors opened, and we were in a... Gym? Was this how my suffering would end?

"What is this place? Why are we here?" I asked.

"I live in this building" she replied. I still didn't understand why we were at the gym.

"No, the gym is not our destination. I'm not Ana" she said, as if she'd read my mind.

I followed her as she climbed a set of stairs that ended in a small lounge with a sliding glass door. She opened it and led me outside to a terrace.

"It's kind of cold" I said, shivering a little.

"Well, it's January, isn't it?" She said. I wandered around the terrace awkwardly.

"Do you know why I brought you here?" Sue asked.

"No"

"Come, take a look at the view" she said. I walked over to her, and leaned on the railing.

I was busy staring at the buildings and lights, when I felt the railing shake. I looked to my right and almost screamed. Sue was sitting on the railing. Didn't she realize this was a 30 story building?

"Sue! Come down!" I said, scared.

"I'm not coming down. You're coming up" she stated.

"No... I'll fall down"

"How do you know?" She asked.

"I always fall down" I said.

"Come up. I won't let you fall, I promise"

I decided to trust her and carefully climbed up the railing. I sat on top and looked down. My stomach felt like it was full of ants, so I decided to look up at the night sky instead.

"Move forward" Sue demanded.

"Sue... I'll fall off the building" I said, looking at her. She looked at me, her face expressionless. Then, she raised an eyebrow.

Oh.
