Alastor POV~

After what I can only describe as a life or death interrogation. Breathing a sigh of relief. Finishing up our little introductions, pondering to the extent I had gained her trust. Was it enough for her? As our hands touched, my breath stopped. An unsurprise tingling warmth spread across my palm. Her touch was gentle, she didn't seem as afraid of me once I answered her questions. Embers' smile brightens up the darkness within the room. Such a lovely smile. I thought; it was like a ray of kindness passed through me.

Pulling our hands apart, stepping back to put some distance between us. Ember clumsily tripped over her own footing again, catching herself on the desk. I practically jumped up to help, being stopped by her hand held up to stop. By god, why is she so prone to tripping! We both broke out into awkwardly shy laughter, seemingly remembering her fall earlier that morning.

As she picked herself up, tucking a lock of raspberry hair behind her ear. She flashed that sweet, innocent smile to me once more. The world seemed to almost be frozen in time. A calming silence grew between us. Ember became lost in deep thought. Cleaning up the tools she had used. This is a bit awkward. Think man. Like a fool I just stood there. Looking around at all the work on the walls: artwork, photographs, boxes with insects, even a skull or two hung neatly. Alongside hanging planters from the ceiling. Finally taking a good look at my surroundings.

Stopping at a strange little table with candles, a small dish, and statue on it. I leaned forward to get a closer look. "Who is this of?" I asked, feeling a strong closeness to the cat headed figure.

"Egyptian Goddess, Bastet. Known for her connection to felines." She looked over to me as she answered. "Why? Are you drawn to her?"

Humming in brief thought, "Maybe." I responded with ease, the raspy tone to my voice drawing out.

The room began to shake, catching us both off guard. Looking at each other with widened eyes, loud banging coming from the only door. Ember slowly backed away to the farthest corner. What is going on? The thought pondered through me. I took the initiative by taking a defensive stance. Walking closer at a snail's pace, cautious to what is on the other side.

Fingertips touching the knob hearing the door loudly crack. I felt my expression drop into that of annoyance. "Oh fuck." Slipped from my lips, just before the door was kicked in. Sending me into the opposing wall, knocking its decorations down along with me.

The dark oak door slammed with a crash on the floor. Rubbing my head, groaning in a pained daze. Looking up to see Ember yelling, but my ears were ringing from the hit. Noticing the large shadowy figure in the doorway, my vision cleared up enough to notice just who it was. The smell of a young pup filled my nostrils. Clenching my jaw as the aggravated rage fumed. The natural toned boy panting between his screams at Ember. The ringing in my ears finally fading, their heated words became clear. The wolf pup gestured towards me. God damn wolves! While Ember is mad about the door and damages done. Her gestures pointed to the mess I laid in.

Getting up on my feet in a flash, "What in the absolute fuck is up with people breaking through doors today!!" I screamed through frustration, grabbing the attention of all nearby. "Can no one just bloody knock like a normal fucking person!? For fuck's sake!" I continued to shout, gesturing to the mess on the floor.

I thought I got away from the psycho fish and her antics! Now! Here comes this aggressive wolf!

Throwing pieces off of myself. "Are there no places safe in this world from assholes kicking in doors!! Like come the fuck on!!" As I began to pick up the disaster. Noticing that the room had fallen eerily silent. All eyes were on me in disbelief. "What?! None of you have ever been pushed before?!" Asking aloud in my annoyance, raising a brow in disbelief to them.
