----5 months later----

Our 2013 sundowner trailer pulled up onto Winchester riding school's drive. I stared out the window in awe as we passed at least 15 gigantic pastures and school buildings. The stable was HUGE! There were two indoor sand arenas, two outdoor sand arenas and a covered sand round pen. The grass was bright green and not a dirt patch to be seen, surrounded by the gorgeous white 4-board fencing.

First I went to find where Promise's stall was, there was a bulletin board with names of horses and their stall numbers. It said Stolen Promise- Row 3 stall 7. I rushed excitedly to get Promise. I unloaded Promise from the two-horse sundowner trailer and lead her up and down the walkway. She nickered and about 4 other horses responded from nearby pastures.

I walked Promise to her stall, it was a beautiful 16by16 dark oak wood stall with intricate brass fixtures and a European yolk dip down on her stall door. The pine wood shavings were soft and the automatic waterer looked brand new. I unbuckled Promise's halter and closed the door. She turned around twice then looked at me as if to say "I'm staying in this heaven?" I laughed "well duh princess".

I went back to the trailer to grab Promise's HDR jumping saddle and her dressage saddle. I looked around until I found the tack room, it was big with two saddle racks for each horse and there were around 50 bridle racks just for my stable row. I found a brass name plate that said "Stolen Promise" and gently put down both of her saddles and hooked her bridles on the two bridle racks.

I walked out and noticed some other riders looking at a board. I hurriedly went over to see what they were looking at. The sheet on the board said "All new riders please meet in indoor arena A at 3:00". I checked my time and it said 12:34. "Great I still have time to go see my dorm".

I was in the ridgeway dorm in room 106. I quickly walked up the stairs with all my heavy luggage. I knocked on the dorm monitors door.

"Hey I'm Katherine Lewis in room 106 I need my key"

"Well yes of course and your roommates are Eva Montillot and Mackenzie Hart!"

"Alright thank you!!!"

I headed down the hall to my room and knocked before entering. A girl with auburn hair and beautiful green eyes greeted me "Hi I'm Mackenzie or Mac for short!" I greeted her back "Hey I'm Katherine but most people call me Katie"
Mac nodded at me and said "oh and Eva is taking a shower right now but you can meet her when she gets out". I knew instantly that Mac was gonna be the crazy one out of us three.

I say my bags down on my bed in the far corner of the room. Eva padded out of the bathroom and waved to me "salut!" "Haha that means hi in French. I'm Eva" she told me. Her accent was beautiful and so smooth. Eva had light blonde hair and pretty brown eyes. I said "Hi I'm Katie". Mac pipes up "let's all go down to the stables and meet one another's horses!" She was practically out the door when I said "alright" and Eva just said "Mon dieu Mac". I didn't know what that meant but I had a feeling that she was saying that Mac was crazy. We all file out of the dorm quickly, Mac basically herding is faster and faster down to the stables.
