Yukari breathed heavily, finally reaching the top.
She rolled over, staring at the setting sky.
After a minute, she stood up and looked around to see smoke rising above in the sky.
Yukari stared, more in confusion, trying to tell if she was hallucinating or something.
She made her way there, climbing over a small cliff and saw a ski resort perched on the mountain.
She walked up, making sure her pistol was in her back pocket and knocked.
"Hello? Is anyone in there?" She asked.
No answer.
Yukari touched the handle and opened it, looking inside.
The resort was empty with supplies on the table and a fire burning in the fireplace.
Yukari walked in, closing the door behind her.
She walked to the fireplace, setting her backpack down and reached inside for the jerky.
When she did, something hit the wall above her.
She looked up and realized it was an arrow in the wall.
She turned and saw a figure, holding a bow and pulling the string back.
Yukari jumped out of the way, crawling in the floor as the figure approached.
"Hands! Let me see your hands!" A female voice of authority said.
Yukari grabbed her revolver, cockimg the hammer, and looked below the table to see the figure walking around.
She jumped up and raised her pistol, firing a shot.
It grazed the figures shoulder as an arrow pierced Yukari's arm.
Yukari yelped and retreated behind a stone pillar as well as the figure.
"You shot me you bitch!" The figure said.
"You attacked me first!" Yukari said shakily.
"Give up! I know you want to. I can hear it in your voice."
Yukari looked at the arrow in her arm and grabbed it, pulling it out.
She hissed in pain and turned her attention back to the attacker.
Yukari felt a sharp burning pain in her leg and looked down to see an arrow in her thigh.
Yukari hissed, breathing heavily as she watched the blood seep through her pants.
Tears welled up in Yukari's eyes when the figure appeared from the corner, striking her over the head and knocked her unconscious.
...
When Yukari slowly opened her eyes, she half expected to see the pearly gates.
Instead, she was tied to a chair as a dark skinned woman sat by a table, hissing as she wrapped her arm in bandages.
Yukari noticed the arrow still in her leg and tried to reach for it with her bound arms.
The other woman turned and gave Yukari a look of anger.
She stood up, walking to Yukari.
The woman had on a red toque, with thick black glasses and a red sweater.
She grabbed the arrow, staring into Yukari's eyes.
"So Miho Nishizumi. How did you find me?" She asked.
"Miho? My name isn't Miho. Do you know where Miho is?" Yukari asked excitedly.
The woman twisted the arrow, making Yukari yelp in pain as she stopped.
"How did you find me?" She asked.
"I saw the smoke when I was climbing the mountain." Yukari said, trying to hold back tears.
The woman furrowed her brows and let go of the arrow.
"So you're not Miho Nishizumi. Who the hell are you?" She asked.
"My name is Yukari Akiyama. I'm looking for Miho." She said.
"Well, your friend is working for the convicts at Blackrock." She said.
"Blackrock?"
"Blackrock penitentiary. That's where they keep assholes like Donner."
"Who is Donner?" Yukari asked.
"That doesn't matter now. I need to know if you are working for the convicts." The woman said, putting on her green coat and grabbing her bow.
"Wait, what about the arrow in my leg?" Yukari asked.
The woman walked up to Yukari, grabbing the arrow and ripping it out.
Yukari screamed in pain, hyperventilating as she stared at the blood soaking her pant leg.
The woman walked out as Yukari heard a lock on the outside.
Yukari's tears fell, soaking the pant leg in small spots as she looked around.
Bandages lay on the table as she struggled against her binds.
She stopped when she heard the door open, and the woman came back inside.
"Don't make me regret this." She said, grabbing the bandages and antiseptic, tending to Yukari's wounds.
"What's your name?" She asked.
"That doesn't matter." She said.
Yukari watched silently as the woman bandaged the leg and shoulder injury.
"This isn't the first time I've been locked inside someone house." Yukari said.
"This has happened before?" She asked.
"Yeah."
Yuakri looked down as the woman finished up.
"There. Now you won't bleed out."
"Can you untie me?" Yukari asked.
"Ha, not a chance in hell."
The woman left, locking the doors as Yukari stared at the glass panels overlooking the mountain.
Yukari looked around to keep out the boredom.
Her rifle and pistol lay on the table with her backpack open, and the contents dumped out.
Yukari sighed, looking around at all the small, minor details to keep her mind active and not bored.
Yukari lowered her head and closed her eyes before waking up a short time later with a crick in her neck.
Yukari got frustrated, fighting against her binds.
