Yukari set out again. Headed in the direction a survivor was rumored to be.

She also searched out for food, medical supplies, firewood, and more on the way.

With a rifle in her hands, pistol in her back pocket, and full of hope and determination, she trekked through the snow.

When she reached the area, she looked around the trees.

"Hey! Is anyone there!?" She yelled at the top of her lungs.

"Over here!" A voice said.

Yukari followed the direction of the voice as the man was perched up on a rock that was out of sight before.

"Careful, there are wolves. One of them got me in the leg."

"Can I tend to it?" Yukari asked.

"Yeah."

Yukari helped the man to the ground as she took out her medical supplies.

As she opened the first aid kit, a howl echoed through the trees with snarling close after.

"Give me your pistol." The man said.

Reluctantly, Yukari handed him the pistol as he cocked the hammer.

Yukari held the rifle, looking around for the wolves.

One wolf walked from behind the trees, flashing its teeth and snarling as the man lowered the hlgun and fired.

He killed the wolf instantly with a shot to the head as two other wolves ran.

"Ah fuck!" He yelled, clutching his leg, which was still bleeding.

Yukari set down her rifle and tended to the mans leg as he scanned the area for more wolves.

Yukari bandaged the wound as it soaked through the cloth.

"I can't walk. I'll have to lean on you." The man said.

"What's your name?"

"Jed Smith, former Canadaian Ranger."

"Yukari Akiyama. Uh, search and rescue."

"Help me up, Yukari."

Yukari helped Jed to his feet as he leaned on her.

With how heavy Jed was, there was no way Yukari was going to carry him.

Fortunately, Jed only had a leg injury and a little tired. He was not dehydrated because he had been eating snow. He might get sick from it, but it was either dehydration or a possible bacterial infection.

With the pace they were going at, it would take them a while. Still, Yukari was going to bring him back to Thompson's Crossing.

With each step Jed made, the heavier he felt on Yukari, who was small compared to him. But as the loader of the Panzer IV, she was pretty strong.

Jed breathed heavily, clutching his leg as he walked.

They hadn't even made it halfway when they had to stop when the sun was hanging low above the sky.

"We gotta stop." Jed said.

Yukari helped him to the ground and looked around.

There was a car sitting by the road as Yukari lifted him under his arms and dragged him.

She opened the passenger side door and helped him inside the Timberwolves howled.

"Oh no." Yukari said, quickly running to the other side, and climbed in.
