"Do you think Soobin will treat her better?"

"I don't trust him. That's the only answer I can give you."

Jungwon stood beside me as we saw the happening couple dancing and laughing together on the dance floor. We were here in the 'Your muse' to celebrate my group's fourth debute anniversary. My members were eating and chatting with their friends. I had invited Jungwon, not Miyoung because honestly, why should I?

She broke up everything with me. For whom? Over a guy who was shady af when it came to her? Miyoung being her was a coincidence. I didn't trust Soobin at all, and have warned her as much as I could. That's the most I could do. It didn't mean that her ignorance wasn't hurting. It was. So much. In the span of a few months, I lost Beomgyu and my best friend.

"Jungwon." I glanced at him. "You're the only one I'm left with. Don't leave me."

"Noona, you're the only one I've too. Let's do our best?" Holding my hand, he gave it a gentle squeeze, and smiled.

"Are you and Chayoung still on good terms?" I asked after a moment. It was a mistake, that kiss. At least that's what they both had told me. I didn't want to intrude, so I never asked more.

"Yep. Still best friends." The sarcasm was evident in his tone.

I slapped his arm playfully and he chuckled. "Idiot." Shaking my head, I excused myself to go to washroom. On my way, I bowed to the seniors who were hanging around the bar. This was the best private place to hang out for people like us without having any scandals.

I took a turn around the corridor, but pushed myself against the wall, hiding when I saw a glimpse of someone. I peeked and my worst fear came true. It was him. Beomgyu. That wasn't the worst part. He was with a girl. Slowly, I watched him lean over her face and my fingers gripped my handbag tightly as I looked away. My pace quickened and I ran upstairs, away from the scene.

It was alright. Months, almost two years had passed since we fell apart. Of course he was supposed to move on. Of course. I tried to breath, washed my face and went downstairs. My smile was extra wide when I saw Heesung there. His mouth fell open as if he was shocked to see me.

Jungwon of course had told his group members that he was invited for the debute anniversary celebration, but we switched the venue from 'Aroma' to 'Your muse' at the last moment. Was Heesung worried about me seeing his friend with his new girlfriend? He shouldn't be. I had moved on. Just like he had. It was fine. Totally fine. I bowed to him and went to Jungwon again.

He was as expected in a heated argument with Chayoung. Would they ever stop fighting? I shook my head and went to the bar. Ordered drinks. Took shots, one after other. Then I called Jake. "Are you really missing the party?" I slurred and blinked to focus on the glass in my hand.

"Ae-Cha, I'm outside the door. Just entering," He was yelling from the other side. I could hear the music. I looked around and raised my hand. The moment he saw me, a frown covered his face. "You've started without me?"

"You're late, my friend." I could tell he was assessing my situation. I wasn't much into alcohol, and only drank on certain situations. Situations which involved numbing the pain flowering in the pit of my stomach.

I closed my eyes and the flashback of Beomgyu almost kissing another girl made me shiver. I took another shot, and glanced at Jake. "Aren't you going to join me?"

"No." His smile was kind. "Feel like baby sitting today."

Rolling my eyes, I ordered a new drink. "Have you ever been in love?" I asked randomly. Jake's smile fell. That caught my interest. "Sorry. Didn't mean to make you sad."
