Shiv, raining from an influential business family Oberoi's is married to Tiaga, who is the eldest daughter of the Trivedi's. Their marriage was suppose to be the biggest union of two business families in the decade. They both were the eldest in their families, and understood what their union meant for their families. Though not in love, they made a good team. They both knew how much appearances mattered in the high society. They both were educated in the same school. They both were business savvy. She was a great partner in all aspects. So to say he found it easy to be married to her.
Tej Singh Oberoi, Shiv's father who is a ruthless man, had one condition at the time of the marriage. To produce an heir in an year. He even added that in to the pre nuptial agreement. As long as he can remember he never let his father down. All he wanted was to be like him. He gave up his dream of becoming a doctor, to pursue his MBA in Cambridge, just to make him happy. He knew his father always made the right decisions. Decisions that made them the number one business family.
It's been almost three months since the wedding, and they still haven't gotten close enough to consummate the marriage. This was the last thing in either of their minds, with the merger of their companies, keeping up with appearances. They were just not there yet. Impatient Tej, had booked a honeymoon for them, to Paris. Despite their busy schedules, they were ordered to leave the country and spend some quality time with each other.
"I...I am glad we are finally going on our honeymoon...It feels like the wedding was just yesterday..." Tiaga, gave him a nervous smile.
"Are you? You do know why my dad is doing this?Tia...we...we don't have to rush...even I don't think I am ready...We should get to know each other a little bit more..." He smiled back at her reassuring her.
"I...I know...Thank you! Hopefully, in Paris we'll get more time to spend with each other..." She beamed, placing her Louis Vuitton luggage down.
"Let's hope for the best!" Shiv extended a hand, and she took it with a smile. They entwined hands, and made there way down the spiral stair case, as the limousine waited outside for them.
"Sir...Someone is here to meet you! She says, she knows you? I have asked her to wait at the guest waiting area....She says, she's a wedding planner...Her name is ..Ann..Err Annika I think!" Khanna informed, Shivaay meekly.
"Khanna what is wrong with you? You know I don't meet anyone without an appointment? Besides we are going on a holiday! I don't have time for this nonsense...."
"Sir...She...She looked as if she was in some trouble...and I thought..."
"You thought what? You very well know I don't entertain any charity work at home either...Tell her to make an appointment like everyone else...Now...Shall we?" He shook his head, and dragged Tia out.
Khanna sighed, and followed them. He knew this was going to be Shiv's answer. He just didn't have the heart to turn the woman away, she looked distraught, and as if something very precious to her was about to be taken away from her.
Shivaay walked past the foyer, taking big steps, not wanting to stop for a stranger. He opened the door for Tia, who got in, and just as he was about to get in to the car, someone shouted out his name.
"Mr.OBEROI...! PLEASE...PLEASE WAIT!"
He turned back around, and lowered his shades. He felt his heart slowing down for a moment, as a woman, he couldn't recall ran towards him. She was in a simple white cotton dress, that had a small yellow floral print. Her hair was messy, parted in the middle and tide in a pony tail. A few stubborn strands were falling over her face, which annoyed him a little. She was wearing a pair of worn out purple chuck Taylor converse shoes, he had seen somewhere before. Whoever this woman was, she had no sense of dress sense what so ever .She was mismatched from head to toe.
