Tony had the compound grounds put back together and even had a new building put up for another training area. The team took a few days to themselves to recoup from the fight. Wanda was doing well and didn't seem to be affected by dying and coming back to life.

"Emma," Bucky let his lips run across her shoulder blades as they laid naked in her bed.

"Mmm?"

"What do you think?"

"About what?"

"Where's your mind Sweetheart?"

"I'm sorry. This week has been a little much. What did you say?"

"Do you want to take off on a vacation? Tony said we can fly to the beach house and stay there for the week."

"That sounds perfect."

"I'm going to talk to him at lunch and get the details."

Emma laid there quietly in his arms and let his warmth embrace her. "Bucky."

"Yeah."

"Marry me." She rolled over to face him and as she looked into his eyes. His eyes teared up as he stared at her.

"You beat me to it, Sweetheart."

"What?"

He slipped off the bed and reached into the front pocket of his jeans. Emma sat up on the edge of the bed and watched him get down on one knee.

"Emma. Will you do the honor of becoming my wife?"

"Yes. A million times yes." She grabbed both sides of his face and planted a kiss on his lips. They were both smiling as she pulled away, "I did ask you first."

"I would love to marry you, Emma."

He slipped the diamond engagement ring on her finger and brought her hand to his lips. He gently kissed her knuckles and stood up in front of her, pulling her up to kiss her lips.

She smiled as she looked at the ring sitting on her finger, "Should we tell the team?"

"Yeah, but I think they can wait a little." Bucky laughed as he picked her up and threw her on the bed. She bounced with a laugh, "First, I'm going to make love to my fiancé and then we can tell them. Maybe at lunch."

"I love you, James."

"I love you, Emma."

Sorry for the abrupt ending! Thank you so much for reading this story. I just feel like I'm done with this story and need to move on. I do love writing the one shots so maybe I'll write a few more of those. However, right now I'm working on a Mafia story, that will go to print- hopefully by the end of August 2023. It has hints of Bucky and Steve with a strong female lead. Thank you again for reading my story!
