"My name is Aric," the arachne said. "I'm just passing through, looking for food."

Sol relaxed a bit. "I'm Sol. These are my companions, Althea and Finley."

Aric looked at them warily. "Are you warriors?"

"Yes, we are," Sol said. "But why do you ask?"

"I've heard stories of warriors like you," Aric said. "But I never thought I'd meet any."

Sol felt a sense of pride. "We're on a grand adventure, exploring the world around us. What about you?"

"I'm just trying to survive," Aric said. "It's a dangerous world out there for my kind."

Sol nodded. "Well, why don't you come back to our home with us? We can share some food and talk more there."

Aric hesitated, but in the end, he agreed. As they walked back to their cottage, Sol realized that unexpected allies could be found in the most unlikely places.
